Torani Orgeat Syrup
First to recommend
Description
This recipe for Esquire Magazine's Hot Pink Handgun (or Sourise) is meant to be a cocktail shared by two for the fuzzy day. Sweet enough to please the girl and yet requires enough skill to make to earn a guy's respect. And dig that name!
* 2 ounces cognac
* 1 teaspoon orgeat syrup
* 1/2 ounce lemon juice
* 5 large or 8 small raspberries
* 1 egg whites
* 1 teaspoon superfine sugar
Put the lemon juice into a cocktail shaker and stir in the sugar. Add the other ingredients and, before adding ice, shake viciously but briefly to activate foam. Add ice, shake again hard (to smash up the berries), and double strain into a chilled cocktail glass. (To double strain, simultaneously use a Hawthorne strainer -- the one with the spring -- in the shaker and a Julep strainer -- the big spoon with all the little holes -- over the glass, to catch the raspberry seeds and pulp.)

Description
Tequila has always been blamed for many unplanned couplings but this one is extra dangerous as it contains an aphrodisiac -- "damania, a legendary flower known for centuries as a potent aphrodisiac." (via OutBlush)

10 Cane Rum
2 people recommended this item
Description
I've heard this rum described as a cross between rum and bourbon so you can't really treat it like you would a regular rum. Squirt a slice of orange into it, not lime. But you can use it to make a Saint Valentine cocktail.
1 ½ ounces 10 Cane Rum
½ ounce Grand Marnier
½ ounce ruby port such as Dow's
1 ounce fresh-squeezed orange juice
Orange wheel, for garnish
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker over ice, shake and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with an orange wheel.
