Trader Joe's

Description

TJ's is great for food with no high fructose corn syrup. Their low-acid french roast has saved my tummy in the morning, too! We get so many of our staples here, I really can't live without them.

Twitter: What are you doing?

13 people recommended this item

Description

I work freelance in a home office, and while I enjoy the quiet sometimes, I'd go nuts without Twitter. It keeps me in touch with my friends and compatriots without totally interrupting my workflow. It connects me and gives me a chance to feel like I'm not totally alone out here in the freelance world. I can't live without it!

Flip Video Camcorder: 60-Minutes (White)

8 people recommended this item

Description

I can't live without my Flip! It's just the right size to fit in my purse or pocket and lets me take video of the kids, of vacations - really, just about anything. The small size also helps set your video subject at ease; it's not as intimidating as a great big video camera. The flip-out usb connection means that you never need to hunt down a cable and that you can get your videos onto just about any computer and then quickly up onto the web.

This is such a handy, fun camera. Picture quality and sound is great, especially at the price. I totally recommend it!

Sidewinder for 3G iPod nano

First to recommend

Description

This is an awesome hard case for your iPod (mine is a Nano, but Marware makes these for other models, too). It keeps you iPod scratch-free but lets the color shine on through. But the best part is the flip-out cord minder. Two little hooks flip so that you can wrap your headphone cord around to keep it neat. They flip right back into the case when you're using it, so there's no added bulk.

I couldn't live without my Sidewinder!

JBL - Spot 2.1 Speaker System

2 people recommended this item

Description

I have these attached to my iMac, and man, do they sound great! The bass is wonderful, giving a really deep, solid thrum - and the fact that it's adjustable means I can tweak it for Beethoven AND The Beastie Boys. There are touch-pads right on the satellite tweeter to adjust volume and the color can be changed using 'skins.' Whatever you pick, they look and sound great.

Since music powers my days, I can't live without these terrific speakers!

Talisker, Scottish Malt Whisky

First to recommend

Description

There are many fine single malt scotches out there, but this one is my favorite. The flavor is sweet, tinged with salt and finishes with a smoky peat that doesn't overwhelm. It's like standing on the shore of Scotland itself, breathing in the fine sea air.

I would be hard-pressed to give up my wee drams of Talisker!

Rock Band

19 people recommended this item

Description

I played Rock Band for the first time this weekend and lets get one thing straight ... I suck. Sure it was my first time playing and no one is "expected" to be a rockstar after one day but I was REALLY bad. I started off on the guitar and after getting booed off the stage numerous times, I moved onto the drums. I wasn't as terrible on those but still pretty terrible considering a 49% was my best score.

Even though I was just awful at this game it was SO FUN! I would play again and again without a care in the world -- my band will get over it. I would buy this game for myself but I can't picture having the massive band set up in my living room. I will go to my friends houses that actually own the game and just place over there. Yeah, I said it, I am a Rock Band mooch.

This game would also make an excellent graduation gift. I am going to give this to my college bound little brother, he will be the most popular kid on campus because of it.

Skooba Satchel 2.0

First to recommend

Description

I love my Skooba Satchel - it's just the right size and doesn't add a lot of weight. There is an awesome 'waffle' protective layer to cushion a laptop, as well as room for books, documents, cords and so on. The front pocket is divided up nicely with room for cellphone and cds and pens, plus a big zippered pocket for all your other little goodies.

This is one of the nicest laptop bags I've ever owned - I certainly couldn't live without it!

Converse All Star Slip (Black) - Chuck Taylor

First to recommend

Description

I like shoes. Ok, I really like shoes. But these shoes are my favorites - beating out the sexy red pumps, the comfy sandals, the gorgeous brown boots to win the best spot in my heart. They're comfy, they're down to earth and yet oh so hip, and ditching the laces for some hidden stretch in the upper makes them super easy to get in and out of. I wear them with jeans, I wear them with skirts - really, just about anywhere.

They are the best shoes ever and I simply couldn't live without them!

Nutella

37 people recommended this item

Description

When my first son was very little, he was such a fussy eater that I couldn't get him to eat anything. Enter Nutella. Now, 10 years later, it's still pretty much all he will eat.

And I can understand why, really. This stuff is addictively good. So sweet, so chocolaty, so nutty. It's great on toast, great on bananas, great on ice cream or strawberries - the possibilities are endless.

We keep a premanent supply in our cupboard - my son (ok, and me too) totally can't live without it.
