Countryside Floral Rug

Description
Bring the outside in with this cute floral rug. Rosed and daisies decorate the center, and the scollwork on the sides just compliment wonderfully. Rugs add warmth and decorative flair to rooms. You just kind of have to have them!

Description
This is quite lovely. I think I'd be afraid to put my feet on it though. It just looks too nice to have my feet soiling it.

French Antique Gilt Brass Empire Style Frame - Alhambra Antiques

Description
The Empire Period is when Napoleon was running around conquering everyone. It was just a slight little bit after Marie Antoinette's time. This frame still gives off the royal Versailles vibe. I'm just amazed at how people put so much time in detail into making simple things like picture frames.

French Antique Sterling Silver and Crystal Cruet Set - Alhambra Antiques

Description
Cruets are small bottles used for serving liquid condiments such as olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Cruets also serve as decanters for lemon juice, garlic juice, and other fine gourmet oils. These would do that just wonderfully. They just have a sense of high class about them. Perfect!

Sevres Porcelain Vase Signed Miguet - Alhambra Antiques

Description
This vase is unbelieveable. The detail and the over all effect is just...wow! This is from the 1860's, a long time after Marie Antoinette, but the styling is almost the same. You're still thinking over the top luxury and fashion.

Description
Apollo has been variously recognized as a god of light and the sun; truth and prophecy; archery; medicine and healing; music, poetry, and the arts; and more. This def. honors him in the art department. This kind of art would have been found in palaces all over the place.

Kathleen Taylor Tapestry
First to recommend
Description
This is a reproduction of an early 18th century Paris tapestry LES ELEMENTS/"La Terre" woven from a design by Charles Le Brun for Louis XIV. It depicts Ceres (goddess of agriculture) and Cybele ('earth mother') in a chariot with 2 lions and a bear. I think the mirror is the coolest part because it shows the stuff you're not seeing.
