Crayola Classpack Markers ~16 Each of 16 Colors, Regular Tip (pk/256)~

First to recommend

Description

"Stands up to demanding use"

* Long-lasting color
* Child safe caps, conical tips
* Water-based, Non-toxic
* 100% HAPPY Guarantee

Save BIG with this mega 256-marker pack. 16 each of 16 brilliant colors.

Several years ago I wised up and started visiting teacher's' school supply/educational resource sites (especially the Clearance links) for bulk purchasing of "the old standards" like glue sticks, Crayola markers and crayons and #2 pencils.

Not only did the one-time investment in a classroom-sized bulk box - or "classpack"- ultimately save me hundreds of dollars over yearly retail purchase prices but it also allowed me to skip the back-to-school panic of running around town filling the school supplies list and late-night meltdowns when 'Oh I forgot it was due tomorrow' art projects arise. Oh and let's not forget the "Oh my gosh, it's ten pm and I'm supposed to bring treat bags to the party tomorrow morning!" moments....

I simply walk downstairs to the basement and load up. In fact, I haven't bought a pencil, glue stick or crayon since 2002! With winter upon us and long hours of "Moooom, I'm booored" ahead, maybe it's time you had a look for yourself!

Styrofoam Single or Bulk Giant Balls

First to recommend

Description

Why am I telling you about big, white balls? Well, check out how much a store charges for their version of giant outdoor Christmas ornaments and consider doing it yourself instead.

http://www.thisnext.com/item/E0930C39/54A8A523/Outdoor-Christmas-Ornaments

These balls will get you started. The bigger ones come in halves you just glue together. Spray paint them in different colors (put a coat of something on underneath or a lot of the paint will be absorbed by the foam) and then use stencils (ie snowflakes) or a loose measuring tape (for stripes) to sketch your pattern. Then spray within the desired design with a strong 3M-like spray epoxy and sprinkle glitter (order online by bulk- very cheap... and "holographic" glitter is the best at catching the twinkling lights) thickly. Shake off the excess and ta da! Congrats! You have fancy balls!

p.s. Don't forget to spray them with sealant if they're going outside when finished. You don't want soggy balls. (via Click Here for the Expensive Version)
