Musical Jingle Bell Rock Skirt

First to recommend

Description

Hmm... wonder who will be the center of attention at the family Christmas party? I have a guess.....

from the HearthSong site:

"Jingle Bell Rock" has been played by almost every musician (as well as symphony orchestras) and rocked to by almost every holiday celebrant around the world since Christmas of 1957.

When kids step into this flounced, fabulously feminine red organza skirt that's festive as Santa's hat, slip on the jingling wristies, and start the wee music box playing, the magic of the music takes over. Suddenly, merrily, it's "a bright time, the right time to rock the night away." Imported.

Crumbs Bake Shop in a Box

First to recommend

Description

From the cover, you may get the impression that this is simply a cute bake-your-own-cupcakes set for kids. Well, it is. Cute, that is. But you have to open it to see just HOW cute. Oh. My. God. I've seen a lot of these all-in-one sets and this? By far one of the best ever.

First of all, the author's credentials set it apart. Mia Bauer is the lady behind the incredibly successful chain of Crumbs bakeshops- those of you lucky enough to live in L.A., New York or Jersey may be familiar with her delicious creations.... like the FlutterNutter Cupcake- vanilla spongecake with marshmallow buttercream filling, frosted with vanilla buttercream that's mixed with real peanut butter and THEN drizzled with white chocolate and edged with white sprinkles Um... yeah. YUM.

So I was so excited to find this kit for kids in a local bookstore. Mia has created an adorable character named Lolly LaCrumb and written a book detailing her many wild adventures. Even better, the book comes complete with wipeable recipe cards that provide easy-to-follow instructions, stencils for decorating (hold the character-inspired designs over your cupcake and sprinkle your topping of choice), kid-friendly measuring tools... oh and so much more. I just can't say enough about it so I'll stop before I try to.

Perfect birthday or holiday gift for the little girl in your life- or for yourself. Really, the cover doesn't do it justice. SO much cuter in person!
