I love Will Ferrell. LOVE. And I know it's not super cultured, or refined, but Anchorman is one of my favorite comedies ever. It got panned, but this movie makes me laugh ever. single. time. Christina Applegate is a great straight-woman, and as always Steve Carell is side-splitting hysterical. Hats off to two classic comedic actors Will Ferrell and Steve Carell for going outside their comfort zone and getting nominated for Golden Globes this year.

Description
My hat is off to Will Ferrell for taking on some different movies, and expanding his repetoire. I love Will Ferrell, and I'm thrilled he is up for a Golden Globe nomination. Stanger Than Fiction is a great movie with an excellent cast.

Description
It's not the 'meatiest' of films, but The Devil Wears Prada is a fun piece of eye-candy. I did love the book, and I wish the movie was a bit more ruthless, but nevertheless Anne Hathaway was just gorgeous to watch, and all of the characters were quirky and loveable. Emily Blunt is up for Best Supporting Actress at the Golden Globes this year. Comparably, I don't think she outshines her other opponents, but she certainly deserves some serious cred...she was hilarious and viscious. This is fun film to rent - even the guys will probably like it.

Description
I find it, somewhat, uncomfortable that Jason Reitman primarily gets recognized for Juno. Not because it wasn't a great movie, but because this one was too. I might even say it was funnier. Either way, it's worth the watch. If nothing else, the comical portrayal of big tobaccos publicist is hilarious, but only because it's so believable.

I'm going to go out on a limb and call the the most endearing comedies in decades. It's truly dysfunctional and utterly inappropriate, but always sentimental. Purely, this film is a joy.
