Font fetishists take note- John Pour Home has introduced a series of laser cut felt rugs that are just fab. A great many designs are text based- there's Das Rug, the Little Black Rug as well as more standard hello. Other designs are rifs on dingbats and include a skull, fleur de lis and hibiscus. But the best part? Send them your own word, phrase or drawing and they'll make up a custom rug for you. (via DaddyTypes)

Lookout JoAnne's- Spoonflower is coming! While this service is still in beta (apply!) pretty soon you'll be able to upload your own fabric designs and have them custom printed. You can store your past designs and have them printed as needed. The upload takes TIFF files at 150 dpi. Once you've uploaded you can order a swatch, a fat quarter or between 1-5 yards. They ship internationally and turn around is currently about a week (they're hoping to get faster). The printing is digital and the inks are washfast. Prices range from $5 (swatch) to $90 for 5 yards. (via ReadyMade)
