I think I love holiday collections just for the bags they come in. This tuxedo-inspired bag by YSL holds a Touche Éclat N° 1, Golden Gloss N° 1, Mini Luxurious Mascara N° 1, and a 1.2ml Elle YSL Eau de Parfum. I wouldn't have a problem carrying this as a clutch to the annual holiday party circuit.

Smashbox always puts out lovely collections, and this one is no exception. Their holiday 2008 collection is called Rapture, and this is the eye portion of the set. Everything you see here is included for only $59. I'm blown away. It has 16 luminous shadows and 2 full-size metallic pink brushes for flawless application.

Just in time for the holidays, Laura Geller has put out some of her favorites, plus a new lipgloss.
I've always thought that Laura Geller's products were excellent, if a bit on the neutral side, which isn't a bad thing at all. But some of her new eyeshadows are looking nice and bright which is a welcome change.
The "baked" items start out as a pigmented liquid which are then poured into terracotta plates and baked for 24 hours. The end result is a gorgeous powdered product that is nicely pigmented. Her balance 'n brighten products are especially popular.

I love palettes, especially ones that I can carry in my purse and use throughout the day (or evening) for touchups that have more than one type of makeup. Having a mixture of shadows, blush, and lips makes me far more likely to carry it around or take it on travel. I love the chic black of this palette, as well.
