Lights - a list by Kristine

About this list:
I am remodeling my kitchen and living area. I've torn down the walls to create one large space, and I plan on separating the spaces with suspended lights. Shopping for lights is fun and frustrating. Too many good options with too many variations. I have two weeks to let my contractor and electrician know where to drill the holes! Ooh oh.

Description
I've struggled my whole life with finding a floor lamp I like. This one I like a lot! It's fabric coated, so it's soft. It looks like a column, so it'll blend nicely into the background. I love Conran's stuff!

I bought three of these to hang above my dining table. The red color is nice (they call it paprika). They're also very inexpensive ($29.95), so if I get tired of them, replacing them would be without too much financial heartache.

9-Volt LED Light

Description
I like the fact it's small and compact. Easy to use for travel and asa last-minute entertaining option for path lights for parties. I like the fact my 9-volts will finally get used. For some reason, I always have an abundance of 9-volts lying around. Other than the fire alarm system, what uses 9 volts? Why do I have so many in my closet? What's up with that?

Brilliant little design that caught me looking twice. I think this would look so funny all over the house - the bulb has an extra end , so when screwed in, it looks like it's attached via glass. You can mount this on wall, ceilings, standing lamps... Anywhere that takes a regular lamp. It is 30 watts, so it is more moodlighting, which is good. A super fun product. $28 for the bulb.

At $19.95, these are so cheap yet good-looking, I'm desparate to figure out if I can use them in my home. It's not about the price, right? About how it looks and works. So far CB2 has been decent for me - no worse than any other furniture supplier.
I thought may six clustered above the dining table... Maybe too modern?
These are really nice for the price. Did I already say that?

So nice when it can be displayed low. I'm curious if it is better in a confined space or an open space. Mine is open space, so I'm having difficult visualizing how this would not obstruct a space. I think this would look awesome against a wall as well, Instead of track lighting...

This is very similar to what I want for my new living area, but not as modular. I wonder if these can be scattered, like stars. And not so low... I'm feeling more inspired now to continue searching for the perfect lighting. Watch, I'll end up finding it at Ikea or something!

A cluttered row of these in all the styles to create a sea of flower buds from the ceiling? These are indoor/outdoors, which is nice, but I think my lights will be permanently attached to my ceiling. Could be pretty. Could look like Christmas all year round, which could be bad. I love them for outdoors though - wish I can justify the spending for that purpose. I'm straying. Shop for lighting for inside the house, Kristine. (Yes, I talk to myself a lot.)

By Kundalini. Shopping for lights is fun and a drag at the same time. There are too many good options, and of course, all the ones I like are outrageously expensive! Urgh. This one is nice... The glass may look too acrylic.
