Designed and made by Felicity Irons,,,, giving a new life to the ancient art of rush weaving. Felicity harvests her own bulrushes from the Great Ouse River. I didnt know this however, British fresh water rushes are softer, slimmer and more vivid in colour than rushes grown elsewhere... helps explain why her mats are so vivid in colour and variation. the rushes grow back within two years of harvesting - environmentally kind! I love using my mats...so beautiful and functional and best of all made by hand!

The trays are light , very strong and easy to hold...can get one by itself or a nesting set of three... I recommend the nesting three... different sizes for different occasions.

Another thing I am always looking for are good dishtowels, ones that really absorb and look good at the same time... these do! Irish Linen.... yummy...only thing is you do have to iron them once they are laundered.... oh well.
