Flashlight
7 people recommended this item
Description
Unconventionally simple and eco-friendly, this flashlight belongs on your table, not hidden in a drawer. The end cap, which unscrews for easy battery replacement, houses the convenient on/off switch. With energy efficient LED bulb. This is a nice little green flashlight. I want one, so I can carve on it while camping.

Evo Grill
2 people recommended this item
Description
I own this grill and couldn't be happier. I purchased it from FrontGate on clearance, but now that I have it I would clearly pay full price. At first I was skeptical about having a grill with a flat top, but it is much healthier and taste better than that propane/NG taste on your food. It also gives you a ton of flexibility in cooking. We cook eggs, pancakes, noodles Mongolian grill style, etc... It is really easy to clean up and the round shape makes it fit nicely in a corner on the deck and makes it flexible enough that you can have multiple people cooking at the same time....
This grill is all stainless steel, so even though mine stays outside in the snow and rain (and it snows and rains a lot here) it has no rust and I'm sure I'll have 10's of years from now.
Even though it costs more this thing is commercial quality and will be around years and years beyond the traditional grill.

Pretty darn cool....unless you are trying to go to the bathroom in the dark and the rest of the camp is wondering what the heck you are up to as your hand is going up and down in a rapid manner while you "recharge" your batteries. :-)

Breitling - Emergency Watch
3 people recommended this item
Description
I am sporting my new Breittling Emergency and I totally love it. Granted and fortunately, I generally don't need an emergency distress beacon w/110 radius on a daily basis, it is still a good feeling to know I could let any plane flying overhead know exactly where I am and that I needed help asap. The breitling Emergency is designed to offer downed pilots an additional beacon in case their plane crashes. I am not a pilot but I am a mountain biker, climber, and surfer, sports which often take me to places where there are few other people around. If I ever crash hard on my bike and am off the trail in a heap, stranded climbing, or, as was the case when I surfing in Indonesia, afraid our boat was going to sink after hitting a reef @ night 100 miles off the coast of Sumatra, I would be really glad to have the extra beacon on me.
plus, the Breitling Emergency looks cool (I got it w/an orange face). Stylish enough to wear w/a suit but still sporty. Has an alarm too which is a must-have feature for me.

Polarized Sunglasses - the McKenzy by HaberVision
First to recommend
Description
Finally some sunglasses that are meant for us outdoor folks. These are made of virtually unbreakable Trilon and Griptor insert over the temples. They are light for the hiker that chops the end off of the toothbrush to save weight on a long hike in the Sawtooths and yet durable enough that they won't break if you topple over while biking in the Boise foothills.
The Carbolite polymer lenses have 3-times the impact resistance of glass while weighing less than half the weight. When impacts are possible or unavoidable, this material is what you want to provide perception while protecting your eyes. Provides 100% protection from harmful UVA, B and C radiation. Created by a linking of polymers and carbonates, Carbolite™ is virtually indestructible. This is also the logical choice for any impact sport.

Fishing Polarized Sunglasses by HaberVision
First to recommend
Description
I went fly fishing in Wyoming this summer with a friend a few summers ago and I'll tell you fly fishing is more like hunting than fishing. You need to see those fish and gently place the fly on the water near them. For this you need a great pair of glasses and if you are like me and just learning a pair of bi-focals built in for retying the fly as you snag it in a tree would be great. My friend that was attempting to teach me had a great pair of polarize glasses that let him see the fish under the water, but would switch to a pair of glasses he had hanging on his chest when he needed to tie a fly. (for me several times)
I think I'll buy him and me a pair and see if I can sweet talk him into another fishing trip in Wyoming or Idaho.
