I am allergic to all perfume, I get horrible headaches if I'm even in the same room as someone wearing perfume ... but my wife can wear "Love Comes From Within" by this company, Creative Scent -- it doesn't affect my allergies at all and it smells like, and I know this sounds strange, but it smells like a great fall day in New York, which is my home town. When I get a whiff of this perfume, I know my wife has just walked up behind me, and that's always great ... she'll ask me how the writing is going, we'll chat, and I'll be inspired to write the best stuff I can because I'd never want to let my wife down ... she believes in me so I want to show her that her faith isn't misplaced.

My 3 1/2 year old daughter is addicted to The Funkey Monkeys, an incredible children's music band. If I hear that music playing, it means my daughter just got home and I can stop writing and go play with my best little pal.

If I've been writing for days on end, my neck starts to hurt, I get tense ... so I go to The Shave and get a great shave, it's relaxing as hell and I always have a great time talking to Adam, the owner - he's a great guy.

Description

I'd be lost without this software. I honestly don't know how screenwriters back in the day did it on a typewriter. I have all the respect in the world for those guys because I would've lost my mind ... Final Draft just makes writing a screenplay so much easier.

I may have been living in LA for the past 5 years, but I'm a New Yorker through and through and I read the Post every day to keep me in touch with my home ... I write some gritty stuff and the Post keeps me on point ... If I become too "LA", my writing might get soft, and I can't let that happen!

It's great when you can watch tv and say that you are "working", but the truth is that I have to watch a lot of tv to keep up with the directors and actors that are doing good work because we are constantly looking for talent to work on the show I write and produce. Direct TV makes it easy for me to keep up to date.

I beat the hell outta my printer ... when I wrote my novel "Slip & Fall" I went months where I was printing the entire novel 5-6 times a day, every day of the week so I could proof-read, re-write, etc. It has never given me a problem ... all I have to do is change the ink cartridge (a lot!) and I am ready to go.

Description

Most writers live and die by coffee but I hate the stuff. I tried one cup when I was 19 and it was just so gross. I love water ... I drink tons of water every day. And of course, any writer will tell you about "urination inspiration" -- all your best ideas come when you are standing in front of the urinal.
