Description
Sometimes the classics need a nod. This unit, designed by Dorothee Maurer-Becker, was great when it was introduced in 1969 and it's still great now.
As someone with Attention Deficit Disorder, I can especially appreciate any design that keeps things visible, organized and close at hand. I WILL own one of these some day.

Ceramic Ruusupuu Mug

Description
"Ruusupuu" is Finnish for "Rose." I love the contrast created by the black, white and pink of this pattern, designed by Maija Isola in 1957 and used in a line from Marimekko that also includes a serving tray and an umbrella.

"Kleine Katze" brooch, by Felix Lindner
First to recommend
Description
I'm a big cat fan (we have five right now), and this brooch touches my heart. I don't know how it would look when worn: you'd see the kitty from a whole different angle. I like this angle. I guess I'd have to wear it on my shoulder.

Doggy Coin Purse

Description
Is this not adorable? It has a wonderful dog print, but it's subtle enough that the coin purse is still rather elegant. Elegant kitsch? Anyway, I love it!

This structure purse is ladylike but in an enviromental friendly, granola way but way prettier. Purse is made out of recycled felt.

Geoffrey Beetem handmade glass marble
First to recommend
Description
If I would ever spend $54.00 on a purely decorative object no more than 1.5 inches tall, it would be for this marble by Geoffrey Beetem. Of course, as a beader, I tend to think it falls just short of the perfection it would achieve if only it had a hole in the middle.

Description
This ring from the Gothic Torrent collection by Catherine Bysheim is unique and stunning. They are handmade, so no two are the same. One for my wish list! In fact, there were a LOT of pieces at this site, appropriately called Love2Have, that would go on my wish list. Support indie designers and artisans!
