I think I'm almost too old to appreciate this very new and complex music, but after listening to this CD a couple times I keep finding myself thinking about playing it (and I give in to the temptation). I think this is becoming one of the most talked about not talked about CDs. (via sokyuteplusrad)

Thanks for the recommendation, Liz. My grandfather was a beekeeper when I was a child and I appreciate the many different varieties of honey out there. I was a bit worried that the Lavender would be overpowering, but this honey had just the right hints and overtones.

Unfortunately, it came to over $15 with shipping, so I'm going to have to make this 9oz jar last.

Saw the recomendations on ThisNext and bought some through Amazon. I'm glad I have them and would recommend them to others, but wish the ends closed a little tighter to better secure stiffer cords.

Warning: Do not purchase these from "IGgFactory Handhelditems" (an Amazon vendor). They only sent me half my order and never responded to any of my emails through Amazon or their own web site even though I provided my cell phone. When I posted about this on Amazon, they started sending me money offers to take down the negative feedback. Too late.

After seeing others recommend Larabars, I decided to try them.

Wow.

I'm no raw unprocessed vegan kosher health nut, but these things have the perfect taste and I admit it is sort of a comfort to see that the list of ingredients is 3-6 simple items (e.g., "dates, almonds, unweetened cherries"). I love the "ginger snap" and "cherry pie" flavors and now I'm going to have to buy boxes of the others, too.

I'm not going to withdraw my recommendation for Clif Bars, but I definitely prefer the Larabars.

Nightmares on Wax - In a Space Outta Sound

Description

Lots of groove, plenty of soul, hints of the islands. Strong, steady bass rythms set the pace for this (mostly) mellow album.

Love it all, except for the discordant track 4 "Flip Ya Lid". I still don't understand what it's doing in the middle of this CD. (via Staviean)
