Description
Something that will keep kids amused if they decide they don't like hot dogs or food in a bun is not for them. I know what its like, my almost three year old can change her mood and decide she doesn't want to eat something on the spur of the moment.
This may keep her distracted long enough to convince her that she might want to eat it. (before it eats her of course)

Frogmen vs. Radioactive Octopus

Description
Okay, ever since seeing the trailer for giant octopus versus megashark have I been looking for some crazy octopus stuff. And here it is!
It even glows in the dark!
This could be a winner for bath time for young kids I am thinking. (via mcphee)

The Fairies - Fairy Beach DVD

Description
This tv series is pretty good, very popular with little ones who like fairies. ;-)
Just so you know, the guy who plays the elf in this placed second in the first Australian 'So you think you can dance'
Lots of fun for the kids, and I know my daughter loves seeing the fairies do magic. (via ABC Shop)

Team Hi-5 DVD

Description
This is another of those wiggles style shows, but with better focus on teaching the children things.
This isn't too bad, and my daughter loves to dance along with the show. (but only when she doesn't think we are watching her)
Well worth getting for amusing the little ones. (via DVDorchard)

The Wiggles - TV Series 1 Collectors Box Set
First to recommend
Description
Regardless of how I feel about these guys, (or how annoying it can get) my daughter does love the singing and dancing. And she does learn a few things.
This is also where she got her fascination with pirates from, so that can't be such a bad thing. ;-)
Well worth getting if you have a little one needing some cheering up or distraction. (via ABC Shop)

Shaun the Sheep - Shape Up with Shaun - DVD
First to recommend
Description
This series is all about a cute little sheep, with almost no verbal component, it can be easily given to anyone to enjoy regardless of language. Much like wallace and grommit in style. (it is aardman creations after all)
Funny, cute and enjoyable by parents as well as children.
There is a huge range of DVDs from this series to pick up as well. (via ABC shop)

Music Games DVDs at JB HIFI Australia

Description
Okay, my 2 year old loves this, and although it can get as annoying as the wiggles, it is at least a nice and well produced show.
Lots of singing and some awful over acting, but it keeps the little ones amused, and that is really its goal.
Well worth checking out on tv if you get the chance and want something different to the normal puppet and cartoon shows. (via JB HiFi)
