Coleman Two-Burner InstaStart Propane Stove

2 people recommended this item

Description

When it comes to camping stoves, this classic model is the best there is.
It may not be as portable as other models, but it cooks food well and boils water quickly thanks to the ingenious side shields that protect the flames from wind.

Coleman 2-Burner Fold 'N Go InstaStart Stove

2 people recommended this item

Description

The Coleman Fold-N-Go is a neat twist on the classic 2-burner Coleman stove design. What this one lacks in raw cooking power it more than makes up for in portability and easy storage. My only complaint is that the design keeps the food slightly further from the burners than I would like, meaning that it takes longer to boil/cook food than the original design.

Therm-a-Rest Luxury Camp Mattress

First to recommend

2 people recommended this item

Description

This style of slim, semi-inflatable mattress is where it's at.

I used to use the big, thick inflatable mattresses that take forever to pump up, and was always sliding off the slide as I tossed and turned in my sleep. One of my relatives bought me one of these as a gift, and I've been in love with it ever since. Quick to set up, easy to use, and just as comfortable as the more cumbersome versions, these slim mattresses give you the cushioning you need without all that extra air.

Coleman Northstar Instastart Tube-Mantle Propane Lantern with Hard Case

Description

An interesting update on the classic Coleman 2-mantle lantern design, this Northstar model is slightly more expensive, but much easier to use.

I've been using the regular 2-mantle lantern for over a decade so it took me some time to get used to the simplicity of this model (and the new tube-shaped mantle design) but after spending some time with it, I'm in love.

Easier to use and brighter than the 2-mantle design, this one is a great improvement over a classic design that manages to keep all the things you love about Coleman lanterns while being a significant improvement.

Coleman Lantern Stand

Description

If you own a Coleman lantern (or similar propane lantern) do yourself a favor and get one of these easy-to-use collapsable stands.

I camped for years without one of these, and when I finally got one I was amazed at how much more useful the lanterns were when they didn't have to be sitting on a table all the time.

Coleman Two-Mantle Dual Fuel Lantern with Hard Case

First to recommend

Description

This version of the classic Coleman propane lantern uses pressurized gasoline instead of propane.

Running low on fuel? Instead of having to buy another disposable propane fuel tank you can just open the base, pour in some gas, pump it a few times to get it pressurized, and you're ready to go.

Economical and more ecologically friendly than other lantern designs that create spent-fuel waste, this model is a little more complicated, but great for the ecologically-conscious camper.
