The Complete Calvin and Hobbes
6 people recommended this item
Description
For those of you that have been living under a rock, Calvin is a precocious little boy who goes on plenty of adventures with his stuffed tiger, Hobbs. They get into trouble with Mom, the teacher, and the neighbor girl quite frequently. Sometimes they learn lessons, sometimes they just prove how dumb boys really are (ha!). But they always have fun and they can always bring a smile to your face....check it out!

Ray Bradbury paints an extremely interesting (and accurate!) picture of the future using lots of figurative language

Harry Potter Paperback Boxed Set (Books 1-7), Harry Potter Series, J. K. Rowling

Alright. So it's a bit childish, but they're WELL-WRITTEN! J.K. Rowling's imagination is wild and her writing is so descriptive that you feel like you're there when you're reading her books. I refuse to see the movies because I don't want to ruin the images that the books have painted in my head! I had to wait to buy them one at a time as they were being published, but you lucky folks can buy the whole paperback set in one swoop. =)

A Painted House, John Grisham

Description
I like all of John Grisham's law books, but this one is different. A Painted House has nothing to do with the courtroom, but John proves what a good writer he is by still engaging us in a wonderful story.

The Innocent Man, John Grisham

Description
I'm usually not a fan of anything non-fiction, but I do like John Grisham, and I went to college in Ada, Oklahoma, which is where this book is based. It was pretty neat to read and be able to say, "hey! I know where that's at!" =)

Fever, Robin Cook

Description
Robin Cook specialized in medical thrillers. Seeing as how my original college major was pre-med, they intrigue me big-time! I have yet to read something of his that I didn't like.
