The Voice Recognition Grocery List Organizer

First to recommend

2 people recommended this item

Description

This device stores and prints grocery lists generated from the items you speak into its microphone. Using an integrated voice recognition system, the shopping list manager matches a spoken item with one of the 2,500 food, beverage, household, beauty, and office products in its database. Each spoken product appears on the LCD and you can add it to the list and print an alphabetized record with the touch of a button. The device recognizes words as specific as swordfish, emery boards, and lawn bags, and identifies errands, such as going to the bank, library, or veterinarian. You can create and manage two different lists simultaneously, add products to the database (up to a maximum of 5,000 items), and customize the sequence in which the products print to correspond with the layout of your grocery store. Attaches magnetically to a refrigerator or mounts to a wall with the included kit.

SensorfreshQ for Meat & Poultry

4 people recommended this item

Description

SensorfreshQ confirms the freshness of uncooked meat or poultry in less than a minute! This small, food freshness tester 'sniffs' the air above meat and poultry, detecting bacteria-produced gasses and determining meat freshness. Over 2,000 air samples are taken in less than a minute, and the results are color-coded for easy recognition. The green light indicates fresh food, yellow means the food is still ok - but eat fast! A red light indicates that the uncooked meat or poultry has spoiled.

Chef's Quad Kitchen Timer

First to recommend

Description

The Chef's Quad Timer Professional digital kitchen timer is a nice innovation over standard or other multi-item kitchen timers. The chef's quad timer professional kitchen timer has a dual display, with 4 timers and a unique and intuitive way to show the status of all 4 timers. The 4 LED lights show the overall status of the timers (and can correspond to the physical positioning of what you're timing on the stove). Green means the timer is active, but still counting down. Flashing red means time is up. Despite the powerful features, the chef's quad digital kitchen timer is quite easy to use. A dial lets you rotate between each of the 4 times and the outer ring lets you configure the time in minutes. For people who multitask with a number of items going at once, this 4-way digital kitchen timer is an innovative lifesaver.

Prodyne Automatic Chrome Peppermill

First to recommend

Description

This handy electric pepper mill is ideal for dinner parties featuring salads and steaks that taste better with fresh-ground pepper--just press the button on top and let the mill go to work. Its stainless-steel grinding mechanism adjusts from fine to coarse, and its high-intensity light helps with accurate portion control. You can even take off the chrome cap, turn it upside down, and use it as a funnel to refill the see-through peppercorn compartment. A built-in rotating paddle keeps peppercorns moving to ensure a continuous flow of pepper. The nut underneath the mill controls the texture: turn clockwise for a finer grind, counterclockwise for coarser.

Eva Solo Garlic Press with Storage Jar

First to recommend

Description

The press is densely forged from stainless steel, yet is curved to fit comfortably in your hand. Unlike most garlic presses, this amazing implement strains the clove through slits, not holes, permitting more of the garlic to clear the press while eliminating the cleaning difficulties posed by clogged holes. The striking press also functions as a stopper for the glass storage jar.

First to recommend

2 people recommended this item

Description

The candles are lit, the table is set, the food is prepared and your hands smell like raw garlic, onions and fish. Vigorous scrubbing with hand soap won’t help, so how can you possibly remove that pungent food odor before the doorbell rings? The answer comes in the form of this 2-1/2" x 1-3/4" disk of stainless steel. Don’t ask how, but rubbing your hands on this disk under a stream of water washes away any unwanted aromas and leaves your hands smelling like, well, hands. Best of all, you only need to buy one since they last forever!
