The Naturally Clean Home, by Karyn Siegel-Maier

First to recommend

Description

I love reading about what kinds of cleaners can be made from natural products. After all, before chemicals were synthesized - people still had to clean right? The smells are probably better and you'll definitely be able to breathe better. Yay.

Green Babies, Sage Moms: The Ultimate Guide to Raising Your Organic Baby

The title says it all. Going organic is a terrific thing to do for both the environment and yourself (or your baby in this case). It reduces the amount of impact on the environment and also means less chemicals that go into your home and body.

Weddings, parties, etc are normally expensive affairs. Of course it's always worth it because what is more fun than partying with your friends? But why not try to make it happen with less of an impact on the environment? That's what this book is all about - giving you the chance to have a good time (and look gorgeous) while still helping out the environment.

Eco Nest Book

First to recommend

Description

This book and the concepts behind it are pretty sweet. I actually want it of when I consider (and can afford) building my green dream home. In short, the idea behind an econest is to live/build in a similar manner to a bird building it's nest - using materials at hand and the perfect size (no bigger than necessary).

Good Green Kitchens Book

First to recommend

Description

Another green home book - specifically for the kitchen. If you think about it, the kitchen is the place where the green stuff going in your body really takes center stage. And everything your food touches also goes in your body, so why not make your kitchen green so you're safe all around?
