Passive solar design sounds like a terrific focus for me. I think any way you save energy and utilize sustainable energy (active or passive) is terrific, I'm just thinking that this is more my style. Can't wait to read more.

Description
Looking to get a start or break into the green business world? This book breaks it down for you in a way you may not have been able to envision. I actually used a similar book that was broken down by field when I was about to graduate and it was extremely helpful in shaping my thoughts and goals.

Small Is Possible, Lyle Estill

Description
As much as I live in LA, I like to live in a small community-feel area where walking to the grocery store, or up and down the street is easy. First it was Westwood and now Venice. This book is an example of how communities can sustain themselves despite the growing environmental issues we all face. Now, if I could only get my communities to really strive for that goal.

Description
Ed Begley, Jr. has been an environmentalist for longer than I've been alive (literally) and in this book it shows. His ability to give you the realistic picture of what works, what doesn't, the best way to do it, etc. are extremely helpful. A good book to pick up.
