Jonathan Adler :: Needlepoint Specs Case

Description
If I lose, crush or scratch one more pair of my sunglasses I'm going to start purchasing them for five dollars on the street. This is my last ditch effort, a cute case that's light enough to join the rest of the chaos in my handbag.

Now ladies, this is not a spot to stash your Barbie's footwear. No honey, let her find some closet space in that pink Dream House.
This little box is made to house your pinks, or blues, letting the world know you're a big believer in better living through prescriptives.
Listen, sometimes mamma just can't take one more round of Baby Einstein videos without a little dip into her stash...

Carrie Weston Diaper Pin Necklace

Description
Being a mom opens up a whole new door in jewelry gifting land. The "push present"? Never heard of it until I was preparing to, well, PUSH. And once I got wind that such a thing existed, you better believe I wanted one. A BIG one. Take it from me, no matter what the gift, it doesn't come close to being enough of a thank you for all the joys of being preggo and then the extra special experience of getting that damn kid out. Hello THREE DAYS of labor. There are those that will say the gift is your heavenly little child.
True. But there is nothing wrong with some bling to go along with the bundle of joy.
I love this necklace. It's subtle and doesn't scream - having a baby has stolen all my sense of style (i.e. pastel and diamond baby booty hanging around neck? Puleez.)

I realize one only needs one good notebook, too many and your attempts to become an organized list maker becomes futile.
That being said, when it comes to Moleskine I just can't get enough. They're perfect in every way and these are (ooh!) colorful. So here we go again, I've just added another thing to my already overflowing purse.

For my mini Spicoli.
Of course it's not the actual SHOES I can't live without, it's whose in them.

Description
I recently went on holiday with a fellow new(ish) mom when I found myself in major "bag lust".
She had a bag that did the seemingly impossible. It spanned both "worlds" i.e. Mommy-Land and I'm Still a Grown Up Land.
This magic item could hold all of baby's essentials without appearing as though you were carrying the world along with the kitchen sink, on your shoulders.
Then, miraculously, in the evening, this very same bag would transform into a hip, "I don't need logos or labels because I'm THAT cool" bag.
This bag is a must have for anyone constantly on the lookout for something that everyone else doesn't already own. It's currently sold out but rumor has it that the spring collection will have a fresh crop (including a black version which will be my choice).

Frye Campus Boots

Description
There are some things that you just wear to the ground (literally). The Frye Campus boot is a constant in my daily "uniform". I love them so much that I'm unable to give up my current pair for a replacement model just because they get better with age. Kind of like a fine wine, or George Clooney.

Jonathan Adler Needlepoint Pillows

Description
The ultimate list of "necessary objects" stitched on this modern take on needlepoint. Sweet with a little tude thrown in. Kind of like Grandma would lovingly make by hand, if she had a bit of a sordid past and liked to add a "nip" from her flask to her morning coffee. (via Straightline)

Love Is Lame Shirt

Description
I remember, oh so vaguely, a time when I thought if you loved someone enough the overflow would like, seep out and into the object of my affection.
My days of oozing love are a thing of the past. But for all my jaded, battle scarred, just plain bored, hearts out there...keep in mind that yes, love can be lame. But it's a necessary evil, kind of like going to the dentist, so we may as well learn to grin and bear it. (via NY Mag Best Bets)

You sexy mother plucker.
These are the best. There is NO WAY I could ever live without my tweezers. It's just a scary (and hairy) thought.
