Geek Chic - a list by ASewell

About this list:
Okay, so I don't dress like a runway model, and my t-shirts reference scientific ideas, indie films and comic book characters. There is a style there...*ahem*... Whether it's chic or not, well...that's open to discussion. I guess.

Sock Dreams ~ Socks for Agents of Chaos

Description
I know, nice crotch shot...but just look at the socks... They were inspitred by a certain legendary villian, and now legendary performance thereof. It's probably too late to get these for Halloween, but hey, as far as I'm concerned, everyday is Halloween. (via sockdreams.com)

Tabi Shoes - DANDAN
2 people recommended this item
Description
These tabi shoes are way cooler than the ones that I own. They are patterned and at first glance almost have the look of leather. The ones I own though unique, aren't nearly as eye-catching as these.

The Chuck Taylor Lo in Black
2 people recommended this item
Description
This has always been my favorite style of the Chuck Taylor Converse. I don't know how many times I have owned a pair of these since I was a teenager, but they never seem to go out of style. Despite their lack of support, flash and whatever else. They are comfortable, durable, cool and go with practically any outfit. 'Nuff said.

Raven Baby Doll Dress - Brown

Description
I don't normally go for dresses this short, but its got a very cool illustration of a raven on it, and I'm a sucker for those birds. People might just have to get used to looking at my less than perfect knees in a pair of tights. Oh well...
Check out this amazing baby-doll style mini dress by Deadworry! Made of 100% lightweight relaxed cotton it's got a super-cool image of a black raven hand-printed onto it!
This relaxed-fit tunic has an adorable square neckline with gathering under front and back bands for a free-style fit. It's got two large pockets on the front and would look AWESOME over leggings or jeans (or if you've got those long legs and love to show-em off with short dresses, alone with some opaque tights!) Grey Octopus Tee - Mens

Description
So, it says men's and has a male model stuffed into it. I'd still wear it.
Check out this awesome tee by Dead Worry. It's a grey tee shirt with a cool black octopus illustration hand-printed on the front.
This design is printed on a super-soft high quality American Apparel 100% cotton tee. (via shanalogic.com)

This is a damned cool t-shirt...why'd it have to be pink?? Ack!! That's really my only complaint. I realize there are plenty of women out there that are perfectly fine with that, but I feel like since I'm pink on the inside there is no need for me to wear any. However, this shirt is still pretty cool. (via shanalogic.com)

"Two Heads" - 100 Percent Organic Cotton - Scoop Neck T-Shirt by partybots

Description
Nice two-headed ostrich! And it's printed on 100% organic cotton, too. The seller states, "Freaks of nature are great as long as they are natural." Hmmm... Well, I guess I'm part of that club. Thank you so much for the vote of support. I think. I'm as or cooler than a two-headed ostrich. How about you? (via etsy.com)

'RECYCLE OR DIE' WOMENS' T-Shirt by nowirehangers
First to recommend
Description
I can be a little picky about what sort of environmental slogans I wear. Not because they might too preachy, but because they may or may not reflect my style of expression. However, this t-shirt reflects me exactly! It's straight forward, timely and it has skulls on it. It's also so very, very true. (via etsy.com)

Handwoven Bamboo Scarf - Skiingweaver
First to recommend
Description
My default color in color and for accessories is black, but when I ran across this scarf I felt that I could definitely be more flexible. This is a beautiful scarf. If it's this gorgeous in the photo, I have to wonder what it must be like in real life. It's also made from one of my favorite fabrics of late - bamboo.
This handwoven bamboo scarf measures ~ 6" (15 cm) wide x 69" (175 cm) long, with 5" (12.5cm) of handtwisted fringe at each end. I used a combination of soft blue, sagey green and a neutral cream colored bamboo yarn.
The weave structure in this piece creates two different patterns in the finished scarf - one on each side, for two different looks!
Bamboo yarn weaves into gorgeously soft, light scarves with wonderful drape, and they're never itchy. Fold it in half, tuck the ends through the loop, and you've got yourself a lovely accent piece! (via etsy.com)
