Dancing Spoon - Escali Primo Digital Multifunctional Scale Chrome

First to recommend

Description

One of customers writes:
This is a fabulous little scale. It's small, accurate, and a snap to use. The scale displays in pounds, ounces, or grams and it's very easy to adjust the unit of measure. The tare function is perfect for controlling portion size. Moreover, the scale is indispensable for achieving the exact measurements required for successful baking. When I bought the scale, I thought I'd use it only occasionally, but in fact I use it nearly every day. Not only is it useful, it's kind of fun! (via DancingSpoon.com)

Dancing Spoon - SoftWorks Salad Spinner

First to recommend

Description

As I found to be equally true with my cell phone, there are a finite number of times that you can drop the top of an OXO Salad Spinner on a hard surface. Even a product of such high quality as the OXO Salad Spinner has its limits. (My cell phone had its limits too, but not quite as many.) For me, a salad spinner is a requirement of my kitchen: its uses go beyond merely making lettuce dizzy.

I use my salad spinner for cleaning and drying lettuce, parsley, sage leaves, green beans, brussel sprouts, and any other herb or vegetable that needs cleaning and drying before using. So I really needed a new salad spinner.

Again, just like my new cell phone, the technology followed Moore’s Law: the new salad spinner that I bought was the OXO SoftWorks and the upgrade is terrific! (I’m switching metaphors now: we’re going from cell phones to cars.) This model is turbocharged: it just spins faster with less effort. And the basket just keeps on going...The braking system (yes, it has a braking system) is a little underpowered and you really need to bear down to stop high RPMs. (But you won’t want to because the clear bowl allows you to watch the magic of centrifugal force as an amazing amount of water separates itself from your lettuce leaves.) Nomu Vanilla Paste, 3.4-Ounce Jars (Pack of 2)

First to recommend

Description

One of our customers writes:
5 Stars!
If you are a vanilla lover, you have to have this in your pantry

A friend showed me this product and I bought some right away. As a former pastry chef, I am always on the lookout for quality products that help keep me keep in touch with my professional roots. The flavor is clean, true vanilla and the seeds add that quality look and flavor. The pump dispenser makes it easy to use, and I found myself adding touches of vanilla where I wouldn't have normally bothered. I will never be without it again. India Tree Chardonnay Smoked Fleur de Sel

First to recommend

Description

Salt ain't just salt. Some salt is used on Margarita Glasses, some salt is used for cooking, and some salt is used as a finishing flourish. That's this salt. Use it as a final flavoring on a steak, a chicken, over a tomato-mozzarella salad, or a nice grilled salmon. When the Fleur de Sel crystals are still moist they are cool-smoked over oak barrels once used to age Chardonnay. A wisp of smokiness, a hint of Chardonnay. (via DancingSpoon.com)
