Why do I love these? Because I'm a fan of kitsch and anything that reminds me of being back in the 80's instead of things that tap me on the shoulder and sneer, "Hey. You're 36. Time to be a grown-up."

The price is a bit stiff for a set of just two but for me, they're like mental Botox so I can justify it.

According to it, my drink- in case you're ever buying- is "exotic concoctions dreamt up by madmen."

Jiggelo: Inventive Gelatin Shots for Creative Imbibers

Description

Love the name, first of all.
And I will always have a place in my heart and black-hole-like lapse in my memory when it comes to jello shots. Ah, college. Or perhaps, "Ah, um...college?" would be more fitting.

Fun and festive for any summer party.

"Beginning with a section of "Jiggelology" that lays out needed materials and basic cooking techniques, the authors offer more than 50 often ingenious and sometimes fancy jiggelos. Chocolate, peanut butter, chopped nuts, Tabasco sauce, Twinkies and cooking spray all make appearances, as does practically every kind of hard liquor one can imagine. In case readers don’t know when they ought to serve their jiggelos, a whole chapter contains recipes designed to celebrate (or buffer) the challenges of finding a job, a partner or even a good internet service provider. A trove of vintage photos that try to evoke 1930s-to-1960s liquor chics is matched by playful layout and lots of brightly colored graphics."

"Oh Pool Boy".... "Back on the Market".... "Call Me" Cocktail Napkins

First to recommend

Description

I pride myself on my ability to make people aspirate cocktails and shoot them out their noses. It's fun and free entertainment for the whole crowd.

Best of all, I've found that it's easy to accomplish by simply accessorizing your soiree well- a few funny napkins can go- and make liquid fly- a long way.

Such are these little delights. "Oh Pool Boy, I'll have another...." Come on, that's just funny. And the "Call Me ( ) .......-........." does double duty as witty AND practical. "Back on the Market" is clever as well.... let's ya be naughty but in a Republican way- ie having something else to blame, albeit something as innocuous as a napkin. (Sorry Elephants, just a little Donkey humor there.)

I own two of these. That's how much use they get at parties. There have been actual LINES that have formed to play. I know, I was a little shocked and disturbed too....

Great price for anything from an office party or hostess gift to a back-seat-child-entertainment system.

Rock Swings- Paul Anka

First to recommend

Description

One of my NEW FAVORITE THINGS! Paul Anka- yes, I know, I too was shocked he made my very elusive NFT list as well- doing covers (and good ones!) of such alternative hits as "Mr. Brightside" and "Smells Like Teen Spirit." When I put the latter on my myspace site as the profile song, the response was outstanding.

Toss this in the CD tray at a party and it's a guaranteed showstopper. Just grab your martini and watch as people's expressions change once they begin to realize they recognize the song he's singing. It's like all brain motion stops for a nanosecond while their minds struggle to absorb the dichotomy. Fabulous.

Check out Paul singing "Smells Like Teen Spirit" on YouTube. I don't care what kind of music you usually listen to- hearing Anka croon "Oh no! I know a dirty word!" is titter-worthy.
