Description
Pronounced 'il-chi' and endorsed by celebrities/press releases, the UK organic handmade skincare line is great but very steep and limited to spa lines i.e. you can only buy it at spas or if you are a spa chain. Great line but definitely reserved for spa use rather than personal use. I think it'd make a better gift!

Pot of Gold Skin Balm

Description
It's products like these that make me want to move Down South (NZ or Oz) -- they same to have the monopoly on effective natural skincare. This product is an all-in-one.
It acts as a "steroid cream, burn salve, cold sore cream, wound care, insect bite ointment" and then some. Made in New Zealand and sold in Australian, Malaysia, Indonesia and of course, NZ itself, the product is great for clearing up the skin and moisturising the skin as well as healing scars to the point of invisibility, at least for me because it cleared up my soft-tissue scars and has kept rashes at bay.
On the site there's a host of testimonials by people who have seen the effects of this product and there's also a version available for babies. There are couple of disclaimers for people with certain allergies, but more on that on their website since I actually can't remember.
Initially, the pricing looks steep at $26 (US) for 100g pot, but for what the product is, it's super-reasonable. Another Must-Buy!

SilkSatin

Description
In my search for an insomnia cure, I found SatinSilk -- a specially-design pillow case that, wait for it, is designed for skincare. No, there isn't any slow-release chemical that helps your skin but simple old silk.
It's based on research that cotton pillow-cases causes more friction with the surface of skin, which causes more wrinkles and can inflame skin rashes etc. I also found out that silk/satin cases prevent damage to our hair (when you wake up and find countless hair strands on your pillow, it's not a good thing) and while I am not at 'laugh lines' stage, I do get acne and it does what it says on the tin! I am not finding as many broken strands of hair either and I think it may be curing insomnia but that's not on the tin.
The cases are eco-friendly and also come in eco-friendly package but the price range is steep -- £40 for a pillowcase (though they have a Christmas offer of £60 for two cases) but it's not like you buy pillow cases on a monthly basis, unless you are Adrian Monk. Unfortunately, it's only available in the UK at the moment, but you could always see if they will send it abroad. Because I can't extoll the virtues of this pillowcase enough, I will settle for saying Must-Buy!

Cheeky Maiden Soap Co.

Description
This is proof that God hears my prayers. I've been looking for soaps that can act as complexion bars and had neem (an Indian leaf which is great for the complexion) in it, and my OCD insists that all skin products should come from the same company and this company excels in products outside of soaps. I bought the Complexion Bar, Sugar Scrub and Whipped Body Butter, as well as the Mango Mama Belly Butter. These products were amazing -- my skin cleared up, and because I have dry skin as well the scrub and the butters were great. And the price is so reasonable. Definitely lower band but amazing results! Must, must, must try!

Beyond Coastal Active Daily Sunscreen SPF 30

Description
I can't believe how long it has taken me to find a suncreen that was natural but I did. And I am only 2 years behind the original poster (!). These products are fantastic and what I love the most is that there isn't countless products to confuse you. Select few that are crucial and clearly well-researched products. The best part -- at a reasonable price (you can find far more expensive sun care products with practically zero natural ingredients). This is a must-buy for anyone. Maybe they'll create an SPF100 product soon because that'd be great for my skin!

The Naked Bee

Description
So if you're allergic to bees, honey or beeswax -- this product is not for you. But for the rest, these are definitely a must-try products and great for gifts. The home grown honey and beeswax is the basis for all their products. Their collections include bath and body products, baby skin care, gardener's skin care, honey as well as health supplements. I only tried their skin care range and I did try and eat it but common sense prevailed and I didn't.
The price range is in the lower-medium band, with a few products a little on the expensive side but that's to be expected. I used the Honey & Brown Sugar Scrub and Goat Milk & Honey Hand & Body Lotion in Orange Ginger and they were just fabulous for the skin -- no stickiness or greasiness. Just very comfortable and smells so good.
You can also adopt a hive, which I think is a pretty good thing since I'd like this company to stick around and it can be our contribution to society since bees are disappearing. There we go -- good skin care and you get to help the environment!

Jess' Bee Natural

Description
Their lip balm has already been recommended but the company has branched out into moisturisers and balms for the skin. I used their Hand Jam and Lotion Bar and they are fantastic. Not remotely greasy, though if you don't like wax-based products, this is not for you since their is usually a slight wax residue (which is great for protecting but not so great for functioning with). More of a night product. Definitely worth trying!

Description
Health from the Hive is there super-cute slogan and their products are equally cute while being really good to use. They aren't a 100% natural from what I understand but they are really good and smell divine (the honey base may have something to do with that). I got the High Five set as a present and it contained their hand lotion, shampoo, conditioner, body balm and face cream. So far I've only used their hand lotion, conditioner and balm so far and while the results aren't groundbreaking, they are really comfortable to use. The price range is in the lower band, which is another plus in this company's corner. Must try!

BALMSHELL Smear Campaign
First to recommend
Description
I've been following Balmshell since it's inception and have been curious about the products but I didn't try anything until they launched the Smear Campaign (I have yet to find out more about the ingredients of their lip gloss) but the Smear Campaign is paraben-free and has natural ingredients in it, which is something that prompted me to try their product. It is fantastic -- it's like Benefit's Benetint (can be used on the lips and cheeks), only with more variety and easier to use with the brush and liquid at one end and a smudger at the other end. It's in the medium band, in terms of price but it's completely worth buying. The colours should work for all skin tones -- must-have for the beauty bag. Balmshell are also releasing something called the Rich Stick, which I am looking forward to seeing.

Lip Scents, Inc.

Description
The only product I buy that I have psuedo-guilt for. The product was developed a film industry insider for the purpose of relaxing as it blends the world of aromatherapy and skincare. It's an organic and vegan lip balm (not wax based though) and it carries a hefty price tag at $38 per tin. Which begs the question is it made of gold that it has that price tag? Answer: yes. It has 24K edible gold and while I normally don't buy into this sort of product, I had to try it and I loved it and prefer it over any other brand (but use it very sparingly but the product is so awesome that you don't need much anyway). So it's a must-try, if not must-have.
