A clock made from forks, a spoon and a bread pan. This is totally the kind of thing that would have fascinated me as a kid, because it looks a little like 2XL - the best talking robot toy ever! (via Uncommon goods)

William Kentridge: Certain Doubts Of (DVD)

Description
I'll never forget the first time I saw William Kentridge's video installation at MoMA in NYC. His videos are literally drawings in motion - charcoal shapes and smudges that transform with a fluidity that is completely mesmerizing. This video contains some of his animated work, but is mostly an interview with the artist. (via Amazon)

Tall Ships: Gary Hill's Projective Installations
First to recommend
Description
Gary Hill's video installation for the 1993 Whitney Biennial continues to haunt me to this day. "Tall Ships" is a series of spectral projections of 12 different people in a pitch black room. As you walk up to each one, it walks towards you, stops and looks back at you. It feels like a passage way into the afterlife. A genuinely memorable art experience. (via Amazon)
