Eco-friendly Oeuf Crib

First to recommend

Description

This modern style eco-friendly crib has a whopping $890 price tag. While I admit it is a nice looking crib, who wants to pay that much money? The eco-friendly point is nice but as long as you put any crib to good use you aren't hurting the environment that bad.

This is the splurge version of this item, check out my steal version in my next post.

Description

Its no Ouef crib, but man its close. This modern style crib from WalMart is a decent knock off to the $800+ Ouef crib I posted earlier. Your baby won't know the difference and you can use the extra $500 to furnish teh rest of the nursery.

Oeuf Eco-Friendly Toddler Bed

First to recommend

Description

Practicality and sleek design segues into the Oeuf toddler bed. Equipped with safety rails that don’t hinder a child’s ability to climb in and out, the toddler bed offers an easy transition from the crib, enabling autonomy. The base is made of solid birch and finished with a natural or walnut stain. The sides are made of eco-friendly MDF board from recovered wood fibers and painted with a non-toxic white lacquered finish.

Sure this eco-friendly modern toddler bed seems like a no brainer, but paying more for my toddlers bed than I do for my car payment doesnt always seem like the right thing to me. This makes the Oeuf bed once again my splurge item, sure its nice but I could always use an excuse to stretch my money out as far as it will go. Check out the more affordable version in my next post.

Description

This toddler cot is the perfect transitional piece for your little one who is too big for the crib but too small for a bed. It accomodates your crib mattress and is built low to the ground for easy toddler access with bedrails to keep your little one secure. Its clean lines and natural wood finish give this cot a modern , updated look.

Steal item: For only $145 you will really get your money's worth from this transitional toddler bed. Even better yet, the bench at the foot of the bed provides extra seating or stuffed animal storage whichever you prefer. Check out more photos on the website.

Oeuf - Mini Library

Description

Sure its eco-friendly and equally gorgeous but it is a bit pricey for a small bookshelf, especially when you consider it was intended for childrens furniture. Sure, just try prying this thing out of my living room. Still, if you're on a budget...check out my CB2 steal of this splurge item

Description

These asian inspired scaffold bookcase will add instant style to your small spaces. Grouped together they make quite the dramatic statement but work just as well alone. Be sure to check out the extra photos of them used in real rooms, breathtaking.

Maybe not quite as nice as its Ouef splurge counterpart, but hey for the price you can buy 2 instead of 1.

Delphi Changing Table

Description

This modern design changing table is a fantastic addition to your baby's room. The $795 price tag may leave you without much left for the rest of the room. Sure its great that it marries up to the matching crib for a one of a kind look, but check out my steal version (next post) of this dresser and you might just find you can recreate this look for much, much less.

Oh yeah, the $300 shipping fee may turn you off as well (via Sparkability)

Description

The ParkLane 3-Drawer changing table is my steal version to the $795 Delphi table. For a fraction of the price ($250) you get the same modern design and you have $$$ left over to outfit the rest of the room. With a baby on the way, you'll find plenty of other things to do with the leftover $$
