Madewell 1937 will be opening at store in Soho on February 20 (next week !) Madewell is actually the older, more laid back sister of J.Crew. Although you cannot make online purchases as yet, you can visit their website to find out where you can purchase this cardigan, a pair of over-dyed jeans or a safari-inspired sundress. Spring is definitely in the air at Madewell . . .

There are so many things to love about this dress, not the least of which being the vintage glass buttons along the bodice and the beautiful blue bow that ties in back. And though it looks like a much more pricey material, it is actually made from hemp.

Not to be confused with the "Penelope" movie about to be released, this dress is a breath of fresh air for someone who has been wearing multiple layers of wool and Polartec for several months in a row. The details at the hem are unabashedly feminine, just the way I prefer to be.
