Description

These bowls by MUNCHKIN are great! They really do stay put with the attached suction cup bottom - great for the toddler in your life who might be prone to clear the high chair tray with one swoop of his arm. They seem to stay put on any smooth surface and have an adult friendly tab that allows a quick release very easily with one hand when you are ready to move them. (via Munchkin)

Okay --- I was very skeptical, especially when I took this plastic contraption out of it's 10x10 box. When I installed it in under 5 minutes, I began to have a little hope, but I wasn't sure. All it took was one shower to make me a believer!!!! Now I list it as one of those products that I never knew how much I needed it until I got it.

I didn't even realize that I felt closed in or claustrophobic in my shower until I experienced how much BETTER I felt with the ShowerBow in place. It really does make the shower feel larger and roomier... no elbows hitting the plastic, no blowing showering curtain with every draft. And in my tiny, tiny, 1930's bathroom, every bit of space counts.

I was also worried about how it would look when not in use, but it is not a problem. It does mostly hide out of the way behind the shower curtain, and the part that shows is minimal.

I love it and so does everyone else who has showered at my house since I've had the ShowerBow in place.

an excellent solution for those of us who prefer room temperature butter and unsalted butter... this european style butter keeper allows you to keep butter fresh and safe at room temp. The dome with the butter inverts into the square container that has a small amount of water added.. the water provides an airtight seal, preventing oxidization and spoilage!

Description

this isn't the prettiest thing out there, but it is very functional. Best for use behind the tv or pc, or somewhere else out of site. Looks aside, it is much easier to manage than a power strip and gives you much more flexibility. (via debegray)

I have to give Mvelopes credit for helping me finally get a handle on my money. Once I got past the "I'm old enough to know how to do this" and on to the "But I'm not doing it!!!" truthful assessment of my finances, I was ready to go all the way back to my grandmother's way of handling money in the Depression. Back in the day, before ATM's and easy banking, people would cash their checks and sort the money into envelopes - one for the rent, one for the groceries, etc. And, when the envelope was empty... they either had to make a hard decision to do with out or to take money from another envelope. It sounded good, but in these days of electronic everything, I knew I'd never stick to just using cash.

Then I found Mvelopes... the only money management software I've ever tried that actually lets you budget the money on the FRONT end instead of just showing you in great detail how badly you blew your budget after the fact. It is an electronic version of the old fashioned envelopes system, you set up your Mvelopes (represented onscreen by little envelope icons) that represent how you want to spend your money before you spend it. Mvelopes works with your bank and credit cards to automatically import your transactions and keep up with your spending as it happens, so there is very little if any manual data entry.

In the 2 years that I've been using Mvelopes, I'm done far more than saved the 10% that they say they'll help you find - I've completely turned my finances around and feel in control of my money for the first time in my life. My budget has envelopes for things that would always take me by surprise before - birthdays, one time payments, etc. Now I'm ready.

And, I also have to add that the support staff at Mvelopes has been among the best I've ever experienced.

It's all well worth the small monthly fee - I know I've recouped that fee many times over thanks to this great program. I recommend it to everyone and have several friends who use it now, too.

What kitchen couldn't use one of these? I remember using a similar one helping my grandmother bake cookies in her kitchen, and as a grown-up i decided I had to have one in my kitchen, too. Good thing - hardly a day goes by that I don't use it. I like this model because it also folds up neatly to take up less space. It's also very helpful in my quest to keep the kitchen organized - I can actually use those shelves that are too high for me to reach!

Trek-Tech Tripod

I was skeptical of this until I was given one for Christmas but after only a few uses it was easy to agree that it absolutely ROCKS!

This combination walking stick/monopod/tripod is amazing - it uses magnetic force (perfectly safe for digital media, by the way!) to make attaching and removing the camera from the tripod quick and painless. I never used the tripod I had because it was too bulky to carry and hard to maneuver, and even the monopod I had wasn't as useful as I expected. While it was easier to maneuver than the old tripod, it was still a pain to carry and I never had it with me when I needed it. The great thing about this device is that it does double duty - in seconds your walking stick/monopod turns into a stable tripod that takes up very little space.

This device has changed the way I take pictures - it's really great. And it comes with a travel case that allows you to take it as part of your carry on luggage when you travel.

I also like that it doesn't take up much space to use or to store.
