Having just returned from 3 weeks in France, for the third year running, I wanted to reflect on all the things I love about France. I'm leaving out the dog poo, and the attitude problem, as they are the downers but on the whole I love it there!

Hennessy XO Cognac

Description
I'm not mad on cognac, but Dr T loves it. What I did love was two things: Cognac the place, and the tour around Hennessy. Particularly the little boat trip. Anyway, this was Dr T's favourite, and that's a good enough recommendation for me.

Le Creuset Cookware

Description
I had a Le Creuset casserole as a house warming present about 20 years ago. I felt very grown up. Now I possibly am supposed to be a grown up, and still have the same casserole. It's fantastic, cooks brilliant casseroles and after a quick soak washes up very easily. Although it is a so and so to lift out the oven! I love this new colourway though, I have Olive green.

Aubade Lingerie

Description
So many French lingerie houses to chose from, but Aubade would be my favourite. The new stuff for Autumn Winter 08 is just stunning. Always sensual, never trashy, sometimes just a touch naughty. Perfect!

Ernest le glacier, La Rochelle : for the best ice cream ever

Description
If you are in La Rochelle, skip dessert wherever you meet and go to Ernest and buy icecream. The flavour combinations are unreal! My favourite this year was a dark chocolate with caramel and pink peppercorns, although the Mojito sorbet was a pretty close second!
