I got my Mom her favorite live flower for Mother's Day. I figured cut dying flowers are okay every once and a while, but generally sort of lame in the Spring. Since I have a green thumb and she does not, I've been taking care of it as it blooms.

The Clematis is a climber, so you'll want to plant it next to a fence or with some support for vining. The other cool thing is that it's a perennial --- meaning it grows back by itself every year without being replanted. (via gardenvines.com)
