Absolutely Fabulous (the movie)

Description
In this movie-length panacea of glam, decadance and petulant behavior, Edie and Patsy...
• Hit the slopes (read: bottle) in neon spandex.
• Are visited by God (Marianne Faithful).
• Body slam Saffron to wax her mustache.
• Hire a Guggi model to be Saffy's maid of honor.
It's good to have role models, sweetie darlings.

"Fake" Louis Vuitton Murakami
4 people recommended this item
Description
Rember when thieves broke into Paris's house and stole everything with a Swarovski crystal stud attached (which means, literally, everything)? Well, I heard through a friend who heard through an ex of Paris's that, ALLEGEDLY, the people that broke in were acquaintances of hers and that when they went to fence the bags they pilfered they discovered that most of them were fakes.
This information leads me to two conclusions:
1-We all need to laugh at the purse frenzy and what better way than with an honestly toted Murakami knockoff.
2-My friends hang out with lovely people.

"Pale Is the New Tan" Tee

Description
Feel as you will about leggings, superfluous belting and lady-parts-level hems, but skin cancer is definitely fugly. This shirt is sort of fugly, too, but in a cute way. Isn't there an Ashlee Simpson song about that? Either way, I'd wear it.

Can I resist making a "drapes-match-the-carpet" joke? Or how about a "red carpet" one. Will someone try this and report back? Does it... um... burn?

"Dallas" palette by Benefit
2 people recommended this item
Description
Color me Dallas! In the name of all that is Ewing, I swear that I'm not just picking this because it makes me feel all Victoria Principal. It's handy and who wouldn't want to whip out a "Dallas"-adorned ANYTHING in public.
I only wish it had a pressed powder so I could make a joke about it being able to absorb the Texas oil slick that appears after a long day of staring at my computer. Well, that's sort of gross, so maybe I don't.

My So-Called Life (DVD)

Description
Two words: Jordan Catalano.
OK, two more words: fantastic writing.
And now, 20-ish words of wisdom from Angela Chase/Claire Danes: "When you really look closely... People are so strange and so complicated that they're actually... beautiful. Possibly even me."
(Re)watch the entire 19-episode series. I will. And I will savor every pre-eyeliner Jared Leto second.

SIGG Sportbottle
83 people recommended this item
Description
There’s a big need to reduce the amount of plastic. Plastic is an oil-based product, so the production of plastic adds to the world’s carbon footprint plus the toxic byproducts are quite scary. Plastic also has “downstream” effects not known by many people. www.plasticdebris.org and www.ecologycenter.org/iptf/ are two sites to help educate the public of these side-effects of using plastic.
SIGG bottles are extrusion-pressed from a one-piece aluminum blank, which results in uniform, seamless walls. The SIGG bottle has acquired cult status. The company started in Biel, Switzerland in 1908. Since 1998, SIGG has concentrated on its core business: drinking bottles that deliver ultimate customer benefit. SIGG bottles currently enjoy 70% brand recognition in German-speaking countries and lead the European market. SIGG is the brand leader for comprehensive, high-quality drinking systems for leisure and sports use. The SIGG website has a great graphic that shows how the bottles are made. The bottles are widely available throughout the United States and other countries around the world.
