About this list:

The romantic in me adores Valentine's Day, and whether I'm single and bitter or coupled and cuddly, I always celebrate. Trinkets for girlfriends, dinner parties featuring some variation of chocolate and raspberry for dessert, over the top smoosh for my lover. . . . I just can't help myself. Cupid and I are kindred spirits.

These cupcake/muffin molds add a unique touch to everyday baked goodies and holiday goodies. Unlike regular heartmolds these produce large heart-shaped tops. (And we all know the muffin tops are the best part!)

Could I really? Probably. Would I really? Probably not. I love it anyway and can dream about the day when I'm organized to do this for an adorably sweet ending to a perfectly timed Valentine's day feast.

Williams-Sonoma | Perfect Endings Red Velvet Heart Cake

Description

I don't know if I've ever actually had red velvet cake, but man, people sure do love it. Add to the love with a heart shaped version! Is it worth the price? I couldn't say, but it's still tres adorable.

Williams-Sonoma | Heart Petits Fours

First to recommend

Description

Once upon a time, I watched Martha Stewart make petits fours from scratch and immediately printed out the recipe thinking I would definitely whip up a batch for Easter. I think that was four years ago and I have no idea where that untouched recipe has disappeared to.
These would be the perfect touch to end a sweet little girls brunch to thank my closest gal pals for being so great. I'm pretty sure boys don't dig teeny tiny pastries decorated with hearts to compliment their tea. Pinkies up ladies!

Heart-Shaped Lavender Wreath

First to recommend

Description

My stepmother would love this. She's a huge lavender fan. I think the smell might be nice in my sometimes stinky entry hallway (into my building, not my apartment; I am a girl and I live with a girl, and we all know girls do not stink), and I love the simple design. Organic and focused. Excellent.

Heart Silicone Cupcake Molds, Set of 8

Description

If you think I wouldn't buy a silly "once a year use" only product just because it was cute, you don't know me very well. Besides, if I follow through with my cupcake decorating party, you'd feel really bad for judging me wouldn't you?

heart + arrow couples key chain

5 people recommended this item

Description

How sweet would this be for a newlywed couple? The arrow isn't too obnoxiously precious for a guy to have on his key chain, and think about how schmoopy the girl will feel when she gets to link them together as they hang on the peg by the door?
Um, unless that girl is me and then she probably has no idea where her keys are half the time. Maybe this would be a good incentive!

oval silver-plated purse mirror

First to recommend

Description

I love monogrammed things, and since I already went and bought my damnself a cute little necklace, this brings out the vintage-romantic in me. The only downside I can see from here is that the shiny things in my purse end up all scratched from keys and other sharp objects. And I would be so upset if this got all scratched up, but what would be the point of having this and not using it? I mean, who needs a compact mirror for home use?

Well if this isn't just the sweetest little thing ever?! I don't even care if he wears the boy version, those little heart whistlin' deer are adorable and totally remind me of my birthday surprise stay at Tomo in Japantown.
