Miranda Hobbs wore this Milly top as a swimsuit coverup in the SATC movie. I actually think it's a lot cuter that way but it could also work with jeans if you wanted some double use for it.

I love it when Carrie takes a simple piece, like a collared shirt and makes it look ridiculously chic. SJP wore a shirt similar to this one in the Sex and City movie with a white vest, white pants, and a black tie. While this shirt isn't as bold as the one in the movie (that one has bright pink stripes) this one will do just fine for a real-life version of the outfit. Because really, not many of us are as bold as Carrie.
