Options for This Page
About this list:
Camping is pretty much my favorite pastime. I used to pack the car with soup, a tent, water, and some plastic utensils and call it a day. Since I've discovered the world of online camping accessories, however, I've learned there are so many more options to make your camping experience better. This is a list of tools, accessories, and overall must haves that make me all too excited.
Qualifications:
Bright-eyed camper who loves the latest camping gadgets.

Garmin eTrex Venture HC Handheld GPS System
First to recommend
Description
This GPS device is great for camping or hiking. The unit has lakes, rivers, cities, interstates, national and state highways, railroads and coastlines preloaded onto it's maps. Even when you're under tall trees, it will read your location quickly and help you get an idea of where you are, and even plan out a route for you to get back to the landmarks listed above.

Venture Heated Fleece Vest

Description
Heated vest that keeps you warm with fleece - and actually heats you up! It has heating panels across the chest and back to warm you up where you need it most when hiking, hunting, camping...or just being cold like me! The jacket will keep you warm for up to 6 hours on a single charge - and it comes with the rechargeable battery and charger. Mm.

Powered by a rechargeable lithium battery (battery and charger included). You can even preheat it! Ah.

Organic Belle Baby Carrier

Description
This is great for camping, hiking, or just walking to the park. It is made from organic hemp and cotton so it's eco-friendly, too! Your baby can face away from you or towards you, and it is fully adjustable for baby's growing heights, It places the weight of the baby onto your hips instead of your back, and even allows for discrete nursing. Such a great gift!

Treasure Cove Sand and Surf Metal Detector Set
First to recommend
Description
My life dream has always included retirement with lots of days spend metal detecting on the beach, forest, or anywhere. Something about stumbling upon things left behind is so exciting, valuable or not. This is a great metal detector for the hobby-ist like me. Ferrous/non-ferrous discriminator distinguishes iron and steel (ferrous) from silver and gold (non-ferrous), there are 3 different tones for different kinds of metal, and it is ergonomically designed to fit your hand and arm well. It's never too late or early to start the hobby of your dreams. I think I know what I'm asking for from Santa this year.

Description
2-person sleeping bag. That's what I'm talking about. What fun is camping if you can't snuggle up with someone you love? Insulated to the maximum and sure to keep you both warm. Body heat always helps, too.

You know when you're camping and it gets dark and you can't seen anything unless you have a lantern or a flashlight? Well, you don't need them for the inside of your tent anymore. This baby is solar powered and can provide different settings and up to 8 hours of light. (You still need a flashlight for outside the tent though)

Camping & Hiking Mini Espresso Maker Includes, 4 oz. Cup
2 people recommended this item
Description
Mm. Espresso. Mountains. Camping. All those things add up to heaven in my brain. This is a great way to get freshly brewed espresso while "roughing it". Add ground espresso to the basket, fill with water, and place over the stove (low heat). Then, out from the pipe will come a delicious cup of espresso into your camping mug. Perfectt.

Description
A portable way to make espresso? Sign me up! Now I can get my fix wherever I am! Just add an espresso pod, hot water, and your own strength (it's ok there's a pump to help us less muscle-y folks out) and you've got a fresh, hot shot. Just for you. Unless you made it for a friend. But that's always after you make yours, right?
