Hodgman Caster Neoprene Bootfoot Wader w/ Cleated Soles
First to recommend
Description
I'm a member of a dying breed on Kentucky Lake: wade-fishermen. More and more, you see two old guys with 6 rods apiece in a spider-rig fishing 25 feet of water for crappie. Not me, not my family. We hop in john boats, head off to far corners of the lake, and wade in water up to 3, 3 1/2 feet. In my opinion, there is no greater sporting thrill than wading up to a buck bush in thigh-deep water and catching a two-pound crappie out of it.
Hodgman makes great waders, and other than one year when I forgot to pack mine (and had to buy $6 plastic waders and throw-away boots from Wal-Mart), I've used them exclusively since 1993. When you're wading through bushes, tree stumps, and slat mats, you tend to get the occasional rip in your waders. However, these waders are so tear-resistant and receptive to patching that I've only had to replace them once.
For trout fishermen, it wouldn't surprise me if these waders lasted you a lifetime. Same goes for duck-blind hunters. They're warm, easy to get in and out of, and the high back allows you to traverse deeper water.
Simply put, I love my Hodgmans.

As a flashlight junkie, this recommendation shouldn't surprise anyone. Regular flashlights are great for all of those little things, but what about when it's dark and you have real work to do? I mean, everyone and their mother is walking around with those Bluetooth hands-free earpieces these days... so why not get with the program and get a hands-free flashlight?
Whether you're hiking, working on your car, crawling around in your attic, spelunking, grilling after dark, or just getting freaky in bed, these little beauts are just very handy to have around.
