World Tee Party - a list by hanahula

About this list:
We all struggle to express ourselves, to be heard and, more importantly, to be understood. It's human. It's universal. Particularly in my lifetime, the humble tee shirt has become a way to personalize our message. More recently, it's become a way to support a cause or proclaim our affiliations. Fighting Aids in Africa. Professing our undying love for a particular band. Battling against bigotry. Reviving the art of Andy Warhol. We all seem to know the language of the tee.
Qualifications:
I own at least a hundred tees, all somehow expressing me.
Plow and Hearth: Women's "Life is good" Long-Sleeve T-Shirt - Less is S'more

Life IS good whenever you have the opportunity to kick back in this tee. Long sleeves, substantial weight, and cotton with a touch of lycra make it even better than good . . . it's good gifting.

Description
An ultra-soft, cotton t-shirt, that is only the beginning. Then comes the fun logo on the back and the rocking design on the front. If you don't yet own a "Life is Good" product, hurry and find out what all the fuss is about.

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater Diva Tank
First to recommend
Description
Alvin Ailey is now celebrating its 50th anniversary ! If you have not seen a performance or they are not scheduled to appear near your home base, check out their website for some great video clips; a history of Alvin Ailey and the Company he founded; and a fabulous array of souvenirs. This tank is one of my favorites, but there is so much more for both men, women and children.

Karmaloop: The Unity Tee by One People Project
First to recommend
Description
A clever twist on the acronym for U.N.I.T.Y. will have people trying to read your shirt . . . and then maybe understanding the message. We owe it to the Queen (Latifah, that is) to keep passing this torch.

Mariposa. Butterfly. Lovely wings. Flying things. Speaking of spring. Capture a few on a t-shirt and you too can become the stuff of poems.

I did not have hippie parents, nor am I really a neo-hippie. But I love this tee. It's like a more sophisticated version of the peace symbol.
