Ojon Hydrating Thickening Shampoo
First to recommend
Description
Like many people with thinner hair, I am always looking to thicken it up, or at least make it look thicker, but still keep it hydrated because I have really dry hair - and I have highlights too! This product from Ojon does just that! After using the shampoo 2x week for several weeks no only did my strands look fatter after styling, but my hair is so soft and manageable, and it looks so healthy even after blow drying and flat ironing, which I do 1x a week. This hydrating, thickening line has totally sealed my cuticle and repaired the damage that coloring and flat ironing had produced. This is my second experience with Ojon products and I LOVE them! The scent is so nice too, I love the way my shower smells while using it and the way my hair smells after using this product. I had someone about a week ago ask what I was using on my hair because it smelled so good when I walked by them. In addition, using Ojon products actually helps the people in Central America that make this product, which makes me feel really good about the company. (via sephora)

Biosilk Silk Therapy
10 people recommended this item
Description
Silk Therapy tames my hair and gives my hair a really sleek silk finish. But be CAREFUL...a little goes a LONG way. Everyone whose hair tends to get dry and frizzy should use it. It works so well on my hair AND it’s a great skin moisturizer too! (Makes the skin so silky smooth…you would never imagine that this clear gel could do this!)
This is now one of my STAPLE products. This is the best post style "serum" I've used. It smells fresh and fruity and isn't too heavy or greasy. It really doesn't weigh your style down, just preserves it in humidity, adds shine and makes split ends temporarily disappear. Good stuff. Excellent for when you blow dry your hair, although I also liked the effect on days when I wanted to give my hair a rest and just let it air dry. I always get a smooth, silky result. Invest in the big bottle – it will last you forever! (via palacinka)

Carol's Daughter Tui Herbal Shampoo
First to recommend
Description
This shampoo smells delightful, and the scent lasts all day in my hair. It smells a bit like beer or tea, with some tropical scents (guava, passion fruit, and mango) thrown in. Note: It's not a high lathering shampoo due to the all natural properties.
The consistency is on the thin side so I would have love to have had a thin spout on the bottle for better application. Since using this product, my hair looks healthy, fresher and has a nice sheen naturally when it dries. (via Palacinka)

Tourmaline T3 Twirl! Curling Iron

Description
I have been longing for those long fabulous curls like Beyonce and Tyra have been doing lately, so I was very excited to try this curling iron. After I got my T3 Twirl (1.5 in version), I am now in HEAVEN!! This curling iron gave my hair big bouncy curls and didn't leave my hair feeling fried! And the curls last for more than a day! I even tried sleeping with my hair curly and woke up the next day with a head of waves/curls. I also had great results with using the iron on the add-on hair that I used to create more length and fullness!
This is a definite investment item for the hair, with great quality and well worth it for the results that I got consistently. (via palacinka.com)

Deep Brilliance Ceramic Hair Dryer
First to recommend
Description
I've always been of the mindset that as long as the dryer has a very high wattage, and I applied enough tension with my brush, I could get a very nice, sleek, smooth blow out with just about any old hair dryer. After trying this Deep Brilliance hair dryer, I now know nothing could be farther from the truth! Usually, when I wash my hair, I towel dry for at least thirty minutes before blow drying it, otherwise it takes half an hour to get it dry, and if I do blowdry it while it's soaking wet, it always ends up kind of coarse.
However, the first time I tried this dryer, I was seriously pressed for time so I just turned it on the minute I got out of the shower. What happened in the next five minutes completely stunned me. Not only was my hair completely dry in the five minutes that I mentioned, but it was INCREDIBLY soft, shiny, and silky to boot!!! When I arrived at work, the FIRST thing my co-workers said was how great my hair looked! If that isn't confirmation that this hairdryer is a miracle worker, then I don't know what is. Every time I used it, my hair looked like my stylist did it. I am so in love w/ this dryer! (via palacinka)

Pantene Pro-V Breakage Defense DEEP CONDITIONING MASK - 7.6oz jar
First to recommend
Description
All I can say is WOW! Pantene is by far the most advanced of the drugstore haircare brands in my opinion, and this lastest new product in the Relaxed and Natural line is proof of it! I used this mask 2x week for several weeks (after using the Pantene Relaxed and Natural Shampoo).
The cosistency is thick and creamy - sort of like pudding. I applied and used with heat under a bonnet dryer as well as without. Upon rinsing out my hair was super soft, moisturized without being greasy, and best of all, shiny! When blowing out my hair it felt amazing and swingy and it really DID help with my hair breakage. I will continue to use and am looking forward to trying more of the Breakage Defense line of products. (via palacinka)

Vive Pro Smooth Intense Conditioner for Dry, Frizzy Fine Hair
First to recommend
Description
I cannot believe how right L’Oreal got it with this product! I have fine but dry relaxed hair that can get very frizzy, especially in the summer months.
One of the first things I noticed about this conditioner is that is has a very nice, light, clean scent. It’s not overpowering or cloying whatsoever. It did a great job conditioning my hair without weighing it down or making it feel greasy/sticky.
For me, there's a fine line between moisturizing dry relaxed hair and slathering it hair in oil and L'Oreal Vive Pro Smooth Intense For Frizzy Hair really has that perfect balance.
It left my hair so easy to comb out while wet and my blow outs were so much smoother and softer. Even when I let my hair air dry I could feel and see the difference in my hair. After continued use, I could still see the benefits and did not develop any product buildup -- which is a pet peeve of mine with some drugstore brands.
Try it, you won't be disappointed. Excellent product for the price! (via walgreens)

Aveda Brilliant Emollient Finishing Gloss 75ml/2.5oz
First to recommend
Description
I like this product and found myself reaching for it regularly...but I did find that I had to go easy on it...just a teensy dab is enough for my whole head of hair--and I've got a ton of thick dreads. I put it on when my hair is almost completely dry. The gloss really softened up my dread ends which often become brittle and frizzy. An added plus is that it gives an absolutely gorgeous aroma. This kept my locs smooth and supple with a nice sheen, without looking greasy or attracting dust which can sometimes happen with some products. (via amazon)

Biolage Smoothing Shine Milk
First to recommend
Description
This is the go-to product for a light, serum that also controls fly-aways. Biolage is one of my favorite hair care brands, but usually I can't afford the price. This smoothing milk is worth it though! There really is milk in it! It has milks or rice, bamboo, and milk thistle in the formula! Light weight, and not a heavy product, it works wonders for the winter season which can sometimes blow your hair out or place. (via drugstore)

Ojon Tawaka Ancient Tribal Rejuvenating Cleanser
First to recommend
Description
It’s been a long time since I’ve fallen in love with a shampoo, but that time has come. This cleanser/shampoo on its own, even before applying conditioner, left my hair super moisturized -- the results were heavenly! My hair has never been so silky, smooth and manageable.
I immediately noticed that this is a low lathering shampoo. Some people may need to get used to this, but my hair was definitely clean after washing, so the suds don’t make the difference! I used once a week and I got fantastic results whether I air dried or blow dried. My ends, which are usually still a bit dry after rinsing shampoo out, were nice a smooth. It should also be noted that it is a fairly heavily perfumed product, but it’s not cloying. This is worth every penny for those of you looking for a fantastic (and natural!) hair cleanser.
This also doubles as a moisturizing body cleanser as well (via Palacinka)
