Bugatti Veyron 16.4
First to recommend
Description
Bugatti Veyron is the fastest production car ever made. Its official top speed is 253 mph (you have to press the special 'top speed' key before starting the engine if you're going to go beyond 233 mph). 16-cylinder 1001 hp mid-engine allows it to go 0-60 in 2.4 seconds, and 0-150 in under 10 seconds. What's even more impressive is that the car goes 60-0 in 2.3 seconds and 250-0 in less than 10 seconds. I'd say this kind of deceleration is even more exciting than acceleration.
Anyway, the base price for this baby in the US is around $1.3 million. Of course, there's always additional options. The deposit you have to pay to order the car is about $150,000, and it takes about 1 year before you actually get the car after paying the deposit. Worth the wait though.

BMW GINA

Description
Here's a new concept car from BMW. Code-named GINA, it's unique in that the outer skin, which is made entirely out of textile fabric is just pulled around a frame of metal and carbon fiber wires. Yep, it's cloth, not metal. The skeleton of the car is controlled by electro-hydraulic devices and can actually move and change shape beneath the fabric skin. With a car this cool, who cares about its mileage?

Description
Nothing really special about this car. Just a 650hp V8 engine that lets this car do 0 to 60 mph in 3 seconds. That's all. If you got a million bucks to spare, it would make a really nice Father's Day gift though.
Hopefully the next generation of this car will be more exciting. It is said to have a 800hp hybrid engine, and an ex-F1 driver Heinz Harald Frentzen will drive it in an upcoming 24 hours of Nurburgring endurance race.

Toyota CS&S

Description
OK, I admit, Toyota CS&S concept car is kinda ugly. But it has Toyota's 'Hybrid Synergy Drive', meaning, the front wheels are powered by an all-electric motor, while the gas engine and electric motor combine to power the rear wheels. And the driver can access various functions by touching holographic projections. How cool is that?

Description
Looking for a hydrogen fuel cell powered sports car? Then Toyota FINE-S is a vehicle for you. Sure, it's just a concept car at this point, and at best, it's probably going to come out in 5 years or so (or never), but it's OK to dream, isn't it?

All-Electric or Plug-in Hybrid by Aptera

Description
I'm not really into green/electric cars, but this one is too cool. The Aptera doesn't just look like it came from 'Back to the Future', it is the future. It comes in both all-electric and plug-in hybrid versions, and it's super aerodynamic (drag coefficient of 0.11, compare to 0.34 for Corvette Z06 or 0.26 for Toyota Prius; Hummer H2 is 0.57). The claimed fuel efficiency for the hybrid version is 230 mpg. Yes, that's 230 miles per gallon.

Infiniti G37 Coupe

Description
Looks like we have a new front-runner in the 'My New Car' race. I've driven Infiniti G35 Coupe before, and I can say that G37 is a big improvement. Both performance-wise (330hp, 0-60mph in 5.3 sec), and style-wise it beats the older model by a mile. I loved the sporty extra-sensitive clutch and steering. It also has quite a few luxury car features like nav system, voice controls, separate driver and passenger A/C zones, push-button start, parking assistance, 12-way adjustable driver seat with memory and a steering wheel that moves along with the dashboard. Oh, you can also use a flash memory card to play your MP3s.
And all of that comes for under $40k.

Audi S5

Description
S5 is a new sports coupe from Audi, and I think I like it. It's rather strange that I do, because I don't usually like German cars. This one though looks pretty good, and it's 354hp V8 should be pretty exciting. It's no Corvette (430hp), but I prefer S5's more subdued looks over Corvette.

Chevrolet Corvette

Description
I've liked Corvettes since I was a kid. It's one hell of a car for a buck. A little over $50k gets you a 430hp V8 engine under the hood, superb brakes, and exceptional handling. According to Motor Trend, it does 0 to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds, thank you. Other nice features include a removable roof package (you can get either a body-colored roof, a transparent one, or both), xenon headlights, heads-up display, push-button start, and Bose audio system with navigation. I'm keeping this one on my list.
