Isn't it amazing? I would never have thought to do this with plastic bottles! This chandelier is made by cutting the bottoms off of plastic drink bottles and connecting them with tagging filament. The result, as you can see, is a beautiful and unusual translucent floral shape, which, when connected, gives the feel of a mysterious undersea creature such as a jellyfish. I found this on the Inhabitat blog, and i searched around but didn't find out how you can purchase one. I think they're made on demand by UK-based artist Michelle Brand, and you have to contact her via her website <http://www.michellebrand.co.uk/>. But this could also be great inspiration for a simple (though time-consuming) DIY project. It would of course be unethical to produce them for sale since this is Ms. Brand's intellectual property, but if you wanted to make one for your own home I think it's a great project to try.
