Description

I recently upgraded to the new MacBook Pro 15-inch 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo laptop and I couldn't be happier. My previous MBP had serious sleep/wake issues that no amount of tweaking seemed to cure. It's everything it should be faster, more powerful, and the visual display is amazing. I was worried that the sleek new black display border and keyboard was going to distract from its beauty, but I haven't even noticed. I do like this keyboard over the previous beveled design. I used to never use the backlit keyboard before, but against the black keys it makes more sense. Very happy with my upgrade.

Sling Pack for DSLR camera

First to recommend

Description

I desperately need a new DSLR camera bag since my last one broke and I've got tons of travel coming up. Incase recently added two DSLR carrying cases with the perfect combination of minimalism and functionality. My only complaint is that I'd love it in other colors.

BUILT : Cargo Laptop Sleeve

First to recommend

Description

The Cargo sleeve is nothing short of awesome. I wanted a sleeve that wasn't as bulky as a bag with strap so I could carry my laptop comfortably to meetings with less fuss. The outward pockets are so convenient for power cable, iphone, remote, and dongle. It might not save your laptop from a serious drop, but definitely from the random bump and scrape. Mine's olive green.

Nikon D90 Digital Pictures AND Video

4 people recommended this item

Description

I'm already in love with the D90. Coming from a D70, the D90 is quicker, has amazing autofocus and manual controls, better white balance sensors and stability and who can complain about the video taking aspects. And of course the bonus of being able to use all of your older dslr Nikon lenses with it.

Alpine CDE-102 CD receiver

First to recommend

Description

Our annual beach vacation includes a 10-hr drive back and forth and this is the first year we have iPhones rather than iPods. Previously we used the iTrip for music enjoyment, but not only was that not a fantastic solution (connection problems and finding stations can get annoying) it tends to add up when you have to buy a new one every time Apple changes the connecting port. So I compared prices for an iPhone compatible iTrip with just upgrading my car stereo and the car upgrade won out. I chose Alpine because of the great reviews and because the interface seemed more intuitive and less garish (I hate overwhelming red LED). My only complaint is that I thought I could recharge and connect via USB (in the front), and while I could connect via AUX, it wouldn't be controllable by the radio itself. I had to buy an additional iPod/iPhone cable that plugs in behind and that enabled me to control song selection via the radio controls as well as charge and access other features on my iPhone. Overall, I'm pretty happy.

Apple 24-inch iMac

First to recommend

Description

After years of clearing out hoarded PC computers and parts (both my husband's and mine combined) and eliminating all traces of Windows (just takes too much time to keep up with upgrades in hardware and maintenance) -- we finally committed to buying an Apple desktop as our family computer. I am so excited to have the power to do everything I need to do for freelance web designing and media editing as well as to come even closer to a fully digital lifestyle. I am in love.

Guitar Hero World Tour Guitar Bundle for Wii

Description

Yes, you have to have a Nintendo Wii to play this. If your kid doesn't already have one of those, it should be first on your list of present to buy them.

This is the classic Guitar Hero game, but expanded as the world tour.

My dad really wanted a Blu-ray player and after a bit of review-reading, I decided on the Sony as best in price plus good reviews. Now all he needs is the Planet Earth BBC series Blu-ray set!

Amazon Kindle Wireless Reading Device

84 people recommended this item

Description

Incredible. Not cheap, but an awesome tech idea. Although I doubt you can use it while on the airplane at the begining and end of the flight, when I always need something to read since you have to shut down your computer. Also saves trees. Although I usually get books that are already used either through amazon or family/friends.
