Engagement rings present a huge dilemma to men. If you ask your girlfriend what she wants, then she'll know what you're going to do. If you don't, then you risk getting something she doesn't want. If you go shopping well in advance with her, then she'll be expecting it. My husband didn't ask me what I wanted. He did a great job anyway. But what if he hadn't?
