It happens every year: that explosion of new school supplies in chain stores, drug stores, even the supermarket. Even if you are no longer a student, even if you do not parent a student, you may (like me) feel the need to stock up, trade up and freshen up with a new bag or notebook or pair of shoes. When you can indulge for as little as 99 cents, how can you resist ? ! And this year the options are greener and more socially aware than ever . . .
