Geek Coffee Gear - a list by saxynicki

About this list:

There is nothing wrong with being a coffee geek, especially as all the term means is that you are someone who really appreciates a good cup of coffee. You can tell the difference between good and bad, and aim to always have the best - in both coffee beans and coffee accessories. And the extra caffeine really doesn't hurt, either.

WMF 1 Coffee for One

9 people recommended this item

Description

WMF 1 Coffee for One is the pefect meeting of form and function. Completely self-contained, it can fit just about anywhere (although keeping it where it is highly visible, like on an office desk, is not a bad idea to show it off!) and brews a single cup with the touch of a button.

LEXON Coffee Time

2 people recommended this item

Description

LEXON Coffee Time is one streamlined espresso set. Monochromatic in white - which means that the color of that perfect espresso will really stand out - the set looks simple, but includes everything you could possibly want in one set: lids/saucers, sugar spoons and a serving tray.

Shower Shock Caffeinated Soap

First to recommend

11 people recommended this item

Description

It's hard to describe to someone the invigorating properties of caffeinated soap. I really despise getting out of bed in the morning, and the only things that motivate me are the prospects of a nice shower and my first cup of coffee. Save a shower-mounted coffee maker, this soap is the best way to get your jolt while lathering up. The peppermint scent is eye-opening, but the fact that you actually absorb caffeine through the skin should really wake you up.

Caffeine Keychain

6 people recommended this item

Description

A close friend gave up coffee and is tempted whenever he gets tired. This caffeine molecule keychain doesn't have quite the same effect as a sip of java for an ex-coffee geek, but it does give him a little pick me up just to think about it.
Plus, it's not bulky, so it sits neatly with your keys and doesn't prevent them from sitting flat in your pocket.

Nesco Home Coffee Roaster

First to recommend

2 people recommended this item

Description

It might seem like only a real coffee geek (not that there's anything wrong with that!) would roast coffee beans at home when there are so many options for buying beans, but the truth is that roasting at home is easy and you really haven't experienced coffee to the fullest until you've played with the beans.
A machine like the Nesco Home Coffee Roaster makes roasting very easy, letting you watch the beans as they darken and giving you complete control over the color of your roast. The machine has a good agitator for even roasting, is quite quiet and - perhaps the best point - is virtually smoke free, so it can be used safely indoors without smoking up your kitchen.

Aerolatte Milk Frother

3 people recommended this item

Description

The Aerolatte Milk Frother may not make a cafe-quality cappuccino in the same way that a real milk steamer will, but you absolutely can't beat this little frother for convenience. It takes only seconds to foam up a glass of warm milk, ready for coffee or shots to be added in for a quick latte, and can also be used to mix hot chocolate or other powdered drinks.
