I bought this gorgeous, beaded tank a couple weekends ago while I was in Philadelphia. I love that it can either be dressed up or down depending on what you wear it with. The beading is so detailed and the cut is very feminine and flattering.

oh. my god. i have to have these. i absolutely love my polka-dotted toms slip-ons and today my eyes saw these lace-ups. they look amazingly comfy and utterly awesome for jeans or bare legs. yes please. plus, toms -- it's one for one -- a fantastic cause!

Clinique Youth Surge SPF 15 Age Decelerating Moisturizer

I've been using the Clinique Superdefense moisturizer for years now, but with this new product I've decided to give the Youth Surge a go. SPF moisturizer is important to me and Youth Surge has the extra bonus of anti-aging/repair. Although I don't have any noticeable wrinkles yet, I am in my 30s which makes me hyperaware of the impending threat. After several days I am happy that it isn't too thick; it is creamier than the Superdefense, but it absorbs in quickly and feels natural and light-weight. I don't feel there's an extra oiliness. I did notice that it smells when I first put it on -- and I generally don't like makeup that has a scent -- but I think I've gotten used to it only after a couple days. So far, so good!

I loved the petal detail and though I wanted one in the deep purple, I picked up a standard gray. The cotton is super soft and comfortable and works really well for work or play.

Cathrine Holm Lotus Bowl

I don't know how many years I've been completely enamored with vintage Cathrine Holm lotus bowls! I am always lusting after them in every magazine, Flickr, and home design blog photo featuring one of them. Recently I visited a local antique shop that had a huge display of one of the vendor's personal collection and I nearly cried, it was so gorgeous! So I've finally purchased my first in what will be a humble collection in time. I am so excited about my 9.5" wide lovely green bowl that will soon be the centerpiece on my dining table.

Berroco Booklet Patterns Norah Gaughan, vol. 4

I am pretty excited about getting this booklet, especially to knit the Tuck vest. I've got the most amazing silvery-silky yarn that I think will make a rockin ripple vest. Norah Gaughan's patterns are always crowd pleasers and well written.

Alpine CDE-102 CD receiver

Our annual beach vacation includes a 10-hr drive back and forth and this is the first year we have iPhones rather than iPods. Previously we used the iTrip for music enjoyment, but not only was that not a fantastic solution (connection problems and finding stations can get annoying) it tends to add up when you have to buy a new one every time Apple changes the connecting port. So I compared prices for an iPhone compatible iTrip with just upgrading my car stereo and the car upgrade won out. I chose Alpine because of the great reviews and because the interface seemed more intuitive and less garish (I hate overwhelming red LED). My only complaint is that I thought I could recharge and connect via USB (in the front), and while I could connect via AUX, it wouldn't be controllable by the radio itself. I had to buy an additional iPod/iPhone cable that plugs in behind and that enabled me to control song selection via the radio controls as well as charge and access other features on my iPhone. Overall, I'm pretty happy.

I've been thinking about ways to downplay dressier dresses with accessories, and came across this hat in a Flickr fashion stream. I also love having a goto hat around when my hair is out of control, especially during Saturday morning yard sale hops. I got the Brown.

Kiehl's Since 1851 Bath and Shower Liquid Body Cleanser

As a huge fan of Kiehl's, of course I had to try out the body cleanser. The only thing I find odd about it is the consistency, which is a lot more liquid-like than the average. I have to pay attention when I use it so as to not use more than necessary since it is so watery. However, the scent is amazing and I especially love the relaxing fragrance of the Lavender. This especially came in handy when a dog introduced fleas into our home a few weeks ago. Lavender naturally repels fleas (and I suspect other types of bugs too).

Apple 24-inch iMac

After years of clearing out hoarded PC computers and parts (both my husband's and mine combined) and eliminating all traces of Windows (just takes too much time to keep up with upgrades in hardware and maintenance) -- we finally committed to buying an Apple desktop as our family computer. I am so excited to have the power to do everything I need to do for freelance web designing and media editing as well as to come even closer to a fully digital lifestyle. I am in love.
