LG KU970: The Shine

First to recommend

2 people recommended this item

Description

It's like the Chocolate, only hotter and sexier. Chocolate squared. The new LG KU970, dubbed the "Shine" is one slick looking phone. It is available in Korea and the European markets, but no word on whether we'll get any love in the US, but the specs on it definitely puts this on the wish list:

Tri band GSM 900/1800/1900 + HSDPA/UMTS connectivity
2.2″ QVGA, 240×32 px, 262K Color Screen
512 MB of Internal memory
2 megapixel camera
secondary VGA camera
QVGA Quality video recording
Mpeg4, MP3/AAC/AAC+ support

Yeah baby, you were born to shine. And shine it does.

BlackBerry 8300 Curve

First to recommend

32 people recommended this item

Description

You've got some sexy curves there bbaby...

I did a write up on the BB8300 a few weeks ago, but it deserves a rewrite since the official product launch is now taking place.

The BB 8300, or the Curve, is RIM's next entry into the prosumer market and it is a good one. I actually had a chance to get my hands on one last week and I can say that it is going to be a winner. The 8300 is an excellent combination of the blackberry we all know and love and its newest multimedia features. Let's do a quick rundown:

2MP Camera with integrated flash
Media Player (supporting WMA, WMV, and H.263)
microSD card slot
Push to Talk
Bluetooth Support
XM Radio (8.99/month)
IM Messaging (remember it uses SMS for IM!)

The device is a svelte 15.5m, making it one of the thinnest blackberries out there. You get the thinness of the Pearl and 8800, while enjoying a more manageable keyboard (a la the 8700).

Needless to say, I'll definitely be getting this baby when it comes out. At this pace, I won't be able to keep up with all of my devices!

Expect the Blackberry Curve to be available by the middle of the May on the AT&T/Cingular Network. (via Gizmodo)

Word Clock

First to recommend

5 people recommended this item

Description

A unique way of presenting time, unless you can't read. I don't know what it is with me and time these days, but I'm really feeling these clocks. Rather than the pedestrian 6:05, this word clock from Uncommon Goods delivers the time in phrases such as "quarter past" "twenty to" and other typical time phrases.

Definitely an interesting time piece to own (via notcot)

Sony Ericsson K810

First to recommend

Description

Another great phone that will probably never see the light of day on American soil. The SE K810 is available today in HK (and other shady asian retail stores in a chinatown near you).

The cybershot branded phone comes with:

3.2MP camera
3G (not in the US!)
quad band performance
FM Radio
MP3 ready
Memory Card Slot
and a very odd keyboard

We'll see how this baby does, but seeing as how the K800 was a success, I expect this to follow up quite well.

Paper-Thin Flatwire

First to recommend

Description

I love gadgets, I hate wires. With flatwire, I get the best of both worlds. Flatwire is flat enough that you can stick it on the wall and paint right over it, hiding the 3 million ft. of wire you have running around the house.

Flatwire comes in a variety of formats for any geek with a penchant for home design: high-voltage electrical, low-voltage lighting, Cat5e, coaxial cable, speaker wire, component video and HDMI/DVI.

This stuff isn't cheap, but it costs money to look good baby! (via Flatwire Solutions)

Minimalist LCD E8 Wall Clock

First to recommend

Description

Another excellent time piece to confuse the crap out of your guests. The LED E8 wall clock uses a block system to tell time. Just don't try figuring out the time when you're intoxicated.

Bang & Olufsen - Serene Mobile

First to recommend

2 people recommended this item

Description

What's not to love about Bang & Olufsen? B&O partnered with Samsung to come out with this neat little phone.

B&O uses a circular keyboard that is supposed to be more intuitive and easier to use. Who knows, it might be easier to use, but it just reminds me of a rotary phone.

The charger acts as a docking station and can connect to your B&O telephone system. When it's in the docking station, Serene will open up automatically when an incoming call or text message is received.

This is one cool ass phone that absolutely useless, but a must have for any gadget connoisseur.

Nokia N76

First to recommend

2 people recommended this item

Description

Sexy little thing isn't it. It's red and I want it.

The new Nokia N76 is the thinnest Nokia out in the market and it is SEXY! Unfortunately, this isn't available in the US, so you'll need to find yourself a nice web purveyor to hunt this beauty down.

The N76 falls in line with the N-series foundation of being a multimedia device and runs on the Symbian OS, making this another strong smartphone with a T9 keyboard.

Some specs:

- 14mm thick *HAWT*
- mircoSD slot
- GSM
- 3G (Not in the US)
- 2MP camera

Yummy

KeyPort

First to recommend

2 people recommended this item

Description

Real men don't have pleats, so you need to find a way to fit all those keys in your pocket when you are out for a night of fun.

With the keyport, just get the blanks cut and slot them in for quick and easy access, without all that extra hardware in your pocket. (via notcot)
