Motorola StarTac III MS900
First to recommend
Description
Motorola's taking you back to the old school, because we're new school. Who doesn't remember the original Motorola startac? I have no idea if this will be available in the US, but I bet you can find it at any of the nice indirect resellers located in your local Chinese American community.
Feature list includes: GPS, Korean-English Dictionary (being released in S. Korea obviously), MP3 player and biorhythm reader.
Features missing: External Caller ID (WTF!), Camera (seriously what phone doesn't have a camera these days)
The Motorola StarTac III, perfect for those who want to remember the old school days.

Motorola KRZR

Description
Indeed, the KRZR makes a fine replacement for the RAZR and there is one basic reason why (at least on the at&t/cingular network): It is one of the few moto phones that runs on EDGE rather than GPRS.
Beautiful and sleek but damn that glossy finish. I couldn't use it anymore after spending half my day wiping it to make sure it stayed beautiful and glossy.

Motorola Action Figures
First to recommend
Description
So what does a giant tech company do when their flagship device, the RAZR, becomes the suck? They come out with action figures!
These are by HK artist Eric So and feature HK pop stars Jay Chou and Zhou Xun. They are not available in the US, so expect these to become nice limited edition toys that you'll probably only find at Giant Robot.
Don't worry, the action figures don't come with crappy RAZR phones :)
(I don't hate motorola, I just think they've been on the RAZR gravy train for way too long. Remember when a RAZR used to cost $300???)

Etymotic Earphones

Description
These are truly awesome earphones. They effectively block out background sound w/out forcing you to blast out your eardrums. The sound quality is very clear w/surprisingly good bass for such tiny speakers (I listen to a lot of electronica w/pounding beats so good bass is essential for me). Handles more delicate classical music well too.
Also, they are super-comfortable and lightweight- ideal for endurofest rides and runus. The extralong cord is nice but can get tangled a bit too easily (via grenadefishing)

Dash Express GPS

Description
So you're asking yourself, another GPS navi? Who needs it? You've got the Tom Tom or you'e got Garmin. Or maybe you have that svelt little Blackberry 8800. What's so special about the Dash? Internet Connectivity baby! That's right, there's a cellular receiver built in (I have no idea who the carrier is, maybe AT&T?), that communicates with the device to download updated traffic problems, as well as allowing you to use Yahoo! Search to get locations of interest. No more sync'ing with your computer or being limited to what's native to the device.
I'm hoping I get to be one of the beta testers for this doodad.

Nokia N95

Description
Now THIS is one sexy device. It's the newest dual slider from Nokia and will make a beautiful addition to any gadget geeks portfolio. It sports a 5MP camera, int'l 3G (not available in the US, WHY WHY!!!), and built in GPS. I would probably carry this for a few weeks until I went crazy with the T9 keyboard. But that's just me. I'm used to a nice qwerty keyboard. I'm also not the biggest fan of the Symbian OS that runs on nokia smartphone/pda devices
The Nokia N95 is a winner and will make a nice competitor to the Iphone.

Samsung BlackJack

Description
Who can resist a bj?!? :) I've always loved the blackjack's form factor, but I was not very impressed with the GUI. That is until I installed Good Mobile Messaging. With the Good overlay, the home page on the bj is a lot cleaner and more functional. What else do I love about the bj: Great screen resolution, XM radio, and did I say I love the form factor?
The package now includes an extended battery and back cover to support it, so we'll see how well the standard battery lasts vs. the Treo 750.
