The Sunset Junction Street fair is an annual event held in Los Angeles that features amazing musical performances, rides, food and merchandise vendors. August 24th and 25th will be a day packed with wonderful arts and crafts, fun games, a fully decked out skate park and valet bicycle parking on the street of Santa Monica Boulevard and Sunset Boulevard. Description
Straight from Toronto, Canada, Broken Social Scene has taken the indie rock scene by storm with beautifully orchestrated tranquil sounds, which is created by 19 members.
You Forgot It in People features amazing songs such as "Pacific Time" (heard in the L Word), "Looks Just Like the Sun" (Nip/Tuck) and my favorite, "Almost Crimes."
I saw them open up for Bloc Party a couple of years ago and they completely blew my mind. Want in on this experience?
They're playing at Sunset Junction this year on Saturday, August 23rd. Don't miss it!

If you don't already recognize him as the sultry voice of Chef on the popular show Southpark than surely you would know him for such hits as the "Theme of Shaft," "(If Loving You is Wrong) I Don't Want To Be Right," and "Walk On By" all featured on this album.
Let Isaac serenade you at this year's Sunset Junction. Damn... right.

Hospital Beds: Cold War Kids

These indie rock guys are from Fullerton, Ca. I saw them play at The Prospector in Long Beach a couple weeks back and they were pretty, pretty good. Hospital Beds is an EP that features none other than the song "Hospital Beds" along with "Change is Gonna Come" and "Saint John," all live recordings.
Watch out for the upcoming release their second album due in September of this year entitled "Loyalty Loyalty." And if you're in the mood to see these fine chaps, they'll be playing at Sunset Junction in August.

Myth Takes: !!!

Chk! Chk! Chk! one of the best dance, post-punk revival bands ever. I saw them a couple years ago at Coachella and they seriously know how to put on a good show.
Myth Takes features crazy cool songs such as "Heart of Hearts" and "Must Be the Moon," both of which are great to dance to.

This blues rock lo-fi duo is one of the most critically acclaimed bands today. Their sweet ass guitar riffs and primitive drummin beats are intoxicating.
Attack and Release is produced by the infamous Danger Mouse, noted for The Gray Album (remix of Beatles's "White Album" and Jay Z's "Black Album"). The album features "Strange Times" (Grand Theft Auto 4), and "Things Ain't Like They Used To Be."
