Lined with hand dyed vintage black linen.
Twisted rope handles with linen padding.
Twill tape borders the top - matching piping on the sides.
Fabric varies from vintage fine woven linen to coarse chanvre (hemp) as shown.

LHN stands for les habits neufs ~ which roughly translated means the new clothes.
Handmade with recycled fabric, each bag is unique. There might be small differences in placement of seams and slight textural differences.

This bag measures:
19 inches tall
The base is 3.5 inches deep x 23 inches long

Handmade, one of a kind design. technique invented by the artist. She says,
I wash the wool sometimes multiple times, shape it with scissors, sometimes I needle felt, or I knit, or I appropriate someone elses knitting and felt it, or I crochet, and I always remove a lot of fuzz. I observe what the peice wants to be, and then I do my best to support its inclination. I string the works with embroidery thread in multiple passes to strengthen the piece and affect the shape.
