Description

We stopped at Mumm Napa on our recent winetasting trip and were surprised at the quality of some of the sparkling wines we sampled -- which are NOT easily available in stores. Joining the wine club - for $39 per shipment -- assures you some bottles of these really nice "champagnes."

2002 Aia Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville Napa Valley

My sister turned me on to this light, fruity Cabernet -- she had tried it on one of her wine tasting trips and loved it, so when she had the opportunity to purchase a case on discount, she asked if we wanted to go in on it with her. I'm glad we did -- it's really a nice, drinkable red!

Nobilo Wines - USA Regional Collection Sauvignon Blanc 2005

Description

This is a crisp, light Sauvignon Blanc -- the kind of everyday wine that goes well with most foods. I've seen it in supermarkets for as little as $10 -- well worth it!

Andretti Winery - Montona Napa Valley Estate Wines

Description

Mario Andretti has earned a ton of money over the years -- and he has sunk a lot of it into this gorgeous Napa winery, which makes wonderful wines. The Montona Chardonnay is one of the best I've tried in a long time.

Description

I tried the pear and lavender flavored vodka, which sounds kind of crazy and cool (which it is) -- but best of all, it tastes great! (And until now, I was not one for sipping vodka straight). Now I am looking forward to trying the other flavors they offer. (via Alyson Wilson)

Cool Shooters Ice Shot Glass Maker

Description

If vodka is best tasted on ice, why not go one further and drink it in a shotglass MADE of ice? You can even freeze juice to use with flavored vodkas, or other kinds of drinks.

(The only problem with these is practical -- the glasses are so cold that when you're drinking from 'em, you may want to wrap them in paper towels).
